  1. You drive a sub 10K Nissan thats probably your pride and joy, how does that give you the right to look down on others like you are in line for the throne or something? Are the "old kind" of owners rich aristocracy who never exceed a speed limit and all have Le Mans titles under their belts? I dont think so, so stop acting like you are better than this guy. The guy has asked a genuine question, OK, maybe it could have been worded better but Im actually a bit ashamed to have anything to do with this place after some of the answers. I was not being pretentious/out of order/whatever when I made my post. I just presume that if you want people to answer a question in an online community, then basic courtesy like punctuation marks and capital letters every now and then actually enables the audience to read the question in the first instance. In addition, there is the subsequent layer of asking questions to which there can be no sensible answer along the lines of "I was going round a corner where I previously had handling issues on a previous car I owned. I decided to go round the corner just as quickly as before, accelerating as I went and found that the car slid because I was not in control and not driving according to the conditions. The car then saved my day through the automatic TCS/ESP systems and I avoided a major accident. Is there something wrong with my car?"
  2. It appears that are witnessing the unfortunate outcome of the car's depreciation and the resultant influx of a new kind of owner here.
  3. I don't know if some people's petrol gauges work differently to others, but I typically go around 60 miles after the '----' comes on before filling up
  4. Apparently Dave's is sold.
  5. Unfortunately while you're young (under 30), Admiral are often the only company with anything close to a competitive price and experiences with them can be mixed (from personal experience - many lies, cover ups and will screw you over at any opportunity). Having said the above, Admiral's cheapest insurance price is for 6k mileage - a lot cheaper than 1k.
  6. I was generally dismayed by the general lack of attention to date by most online newspapers and the like.

  8. I have a feeling that, proportionately, fewer roadster owners are going to be car enthusiasts as a large number of people buy them because they look nice and have the option of having the roof down. With not all that many options available if you want a convertible nice looking car in a reasonable price range, the 350z seems like a good buy.
  9. Steer clear. Dodgy pictures with a dodgy email, price is way too low even considering the low spec.
  10. I test drove an Alfa GT before buying the zed and in my personaly opinion it was utterly rubbish.
  11. Japspeed K1 improves your MPG by at least 50% because you will never EVER go above 3k revs.
  12. I think if some dudes down the pub ask you what you drive, you point out of the window and everybody just sits there with their jaw down to the floor for about 10 seconds, then the car can be defined as a supercar.
  13. He might have bought one of those £5 accessories on ebay that you stick on the outside of your fuel supply and it polarises the ions to give you +60 bhp.
  14. I generally hate all porsches with a passion, but the RUF looks very
  15. Congratz. Getting a new job is great on its own, but leaving one which really didn't work out to go into a better role makes it 100x better (from personal experience).
  16. Loud internal rattling could be any number of things from piston issues or a cracked spark plug to many other problems. Only way to know is to take the top off and begin looking at things one by one.
  17. My 03 import manual has probably seen more diff/clutch/gearbox abuse than most and is sweet as a nut OBD reader works with my car though, dont know where you are getting that one from rtbiscuit - Ive also seen 160+ on the clock ......... hows that 155mph limiter youve got BTW?? The geometry of the JDM cars is different, and theres a rumour they ride a little harder - theres very little in it having driven both though. I prefer cloth seats and a lot of the JDM cars have pretty cool aftermarket stuff too - Ive got a dogs danglies stereo and speakers, Nismo dials and a momo steering wheel which are all nice I apparently have the 155mph limiter, but speedo went up to pretty much 170 on a recent trip to Germany (sat nav recorded 156mph top speed).
  18. this piece of tack ain't going to make me wear a watch for the first time in 15 years.
  19. I wunt get 2 ecited. I thort dat i shud point out dat dey wont let you give it some as dat wud b well weerd n stuf. njoy ur day.
  20. You could grow a nail on your index finger and chisel it away into key shapes trying out different combinations until you hit the correct one to start the car.
  21. Could well be something minor like an exhaust connection/bracket. What petrol do you run the car on?
  22. It's not the nineties to be paying for news.
  23. Surely if you screw the paint right up, it will just heal itself, right?
  24. just been out to get some petrol. Passed 4 petrol stations and saw 6 cars on the forecourt between them. Filled up with Tesco Momentum at 141.9p. Shortage or no shortage, the people of Nottingham can't afford to buy petrol anyhow.
