LPG doesnt lubricate like fuel does , so you normally see more engine wear especially piston rings.

HR runs the same idea as the Pathfinder motor; Yep thats the idea Anders; Works real well.

Anders, we used this upgrade a couple of times , the better way to help the water flow is to fit HR headgaskets and modify the block to allow the water to flow the correct path; but it needs to be done when your motor is in parts. To fit this in the car will not be a nice job thou , good luck. : Mark

yes erasing the CEL code wont lose your Uprev remap , but get the CEL code before erasing.

Yep these are a huge amount of different maps for the VQ motors; The US maps do run a little less ignition timing.

These motors do knock (detonate) pretty easily for a N/A car The damaged pistons is from a 06 Rev Up motor.

Go pro mounted on a Board with a suction mount , it isnt me but a good friend while we was in Vallandry last week, I was at the rear on ski's with the Go pro on a chesty mount we will endeavour to edit a video with both views in soon. But here you go to see what a Go Pro records when mounted on a Board.

We was using a Go pro on a board using a suction mount with good results , the only trouble is the rubber freezes and the mount falls off. We always use a safety teather as well thou; I think with some work you could make a nice mount up via the bindings, the video looking from a board is awesome , once my friend edits his video's I will post a link up for all to see,

I just got back from the French Alps , We had a week in Vallandry ( Les Arcs) , awesome amount of snow over our 2011 trip. Yes it was cold , but you are on a snow based holiday and high up a mountain. We had -20 at 2000+ metres on a few days, had to wrap up worm and not take your gloves off..... Resort isnt to expensive to eat during the day, Apres ski not bad either beer a little dear 6 Euro for a Leffe or Magners. Might even slide back for a long weekend in March!!!! I have a huge amount of Go Pro footage as well , will get on editting it down once I get over my long list of un answered emails.......

The car you have? who was the previous owner? I think that car had De-cat pipe fitted by the owner if I think you car was owned by who I think it was. Mark

Ekona, being a late car it will have 2 Air flow meters but I doubt these will need cleaing on such a late low mileage car. I agree we set the ECU to reomve the self learn within the ecu that it has learn over a period of time; The HR motors run so rich stock I would think adding HFC's will not cause any problems fitting to a stock car, but the remap will help, but we do see a reduction in low end torque after fitting HFC's/Decats or Motordyne ART pipes on these cars , we do tweak the cams to help this on the remap. I would actually add 35/40 bh to the hub figure to get an estimated flywheel figure , but as people have said on here getting a flywheel figure is always a guess as the only way to get a proper flywheel figure is to take the engine out and dyno it on a engine dyno; All the dyno that give a flywheel figure add a percentage onto the wheel figure which has been discussed so many times on so many forums which I feel isnt correct, the main thing to take notice off is the figure the car started with to the figure the car ended up after tuning that is what I always take notice off basically area under the graph more area under the graph is always better.

Resetting the ECU will have cured the problem I feel.

Yes sorry forgot that , so on a JDM car the speed limiter still working , your get a remap and the limiter removed for not much more than fitting a SLD box. I can just remove the speed limiter thou without tuning the car , this cost's £250-00 inc vat where as a full remap on our in house dyno will cost £402-00 inc vat , with before and after dyno plots.

Captain, your car is an auto so the throttle remap isnt a defined as on a manual car. The BHP/TORQUE gain's are normally around 10bhp/10lb/ft but the main gains come fromt he mod range torque and driveability the cars gain after a remap of the throttle map. The dyno plots dont show this.

But that is only a full throttle run , this problem is at part throttle.

mmmmm strange; you got your car at the moment? try disconnecting the front lambda's putting the car into no closed loop lambda control see if this cures the stumble?

1st time I have seen a car mis-fire/stumble due to De-cats being fitted thou, they run lean but not to the point that they have a mis-fire/stumble. The AFR in the AFR layout map in the stock ECU are this area is 14.5 so the car should run around that figure, the car is adding fuel around that area to make the required AFR number but I am extremely surprised to see this problem. Something to note I feel. But NeilP if you having a dig at me getting something wrong whys that? We all aren't perfect and we all make mistakes and without seeing a car the crystal ball can be wrong sometimes.
