  1. your's is an auto as well......so even more losses......LOL
  2. If you take off about 15% as an average for drivetrain losses you will get around abouts your wheel HP Nope dis-agree, on above; I try not to quote flywheel BHP as the estimate to convert hub/wheel bhp is always a good start to a long debate; It isnt a % loss it is a set figure+ a very small % , it has be discussed so many times; if you use a percentage a car with a 100bhp will have a loss of 15 bhp but the same car with 1000bhp will have 150bhp loss , 150bhp loss in heat is so much it would melt the gearox/rear diff. A totally stock HR will give around 265/270 hub bhp , so a stock flywheel figure for a HR according to Nissan is 313 bhp , 313 - 270= 43 bhp loss , so add 43 to 282.4 bhp = 325bhp flywheel. Abbey add 35bhp to the hub figure as a conservstive flywheel figure.
  3. Just had a look @ a stock catalyst from a DE car and yes there are 2 matrix's within the cat pipe , the rear 02 sensor is actually in between the 2 matrix's and the front matrix looks far more dense than the rear matrix.
  4. Best reply I have read , dont get held up on top end BHP level with these cars, the mods and tuning will make the cars so much stronger mid range and thats where we drive them mostly.
  5. The R35GTR has 2 sets of cats but both the 350?370 only have 1 set of cats.
  6. Dis-agree with this but I may be biased as I have a hub based dyno , if you don't use the conversion figure to estimate flywheel bhp it is a very good tool. Just look at the wheel/hub figures and you wont be far wrong.
  7. My 2 pence worth, you wont measure any gain's from the lighten pulley fitment like wise when fitting a single piece flywheel you wont see a gain on the dyno on a straight pullbut the car will feel more responsive on the road , you can measure these on a inertia dyno but the gians shown would be so small. Did Paul give oyu a dyno plot of the finished run 1st time laid over the finish run after this work? The HFC,s still restrict the cars top end but always allow the cars to produce more mid range grunt , the Miltek exhaust will not show a huge amount of gain as the major restriction is the Cats weather they are stock HFC,s , if your running de-cats yes then the stock exhaust will restrict the car car. I always say the best £ per BHP gain on a DE is the Y pipe/plenum spacer and Uprev , this always gives good returns and the car feels so much better with the throttle restiction removed; If you would of had the whole lot done in one go it would of looked a real good gain the car would of driven totaly different from a stock car. Running cars on different days will always make a difference and with a roller based dyno repeated runs heats everything up so causing a diffrence in results; Comparing turbo remaps the N/A re-maps isnt worth even talking about , a remap on a F/I car you turn the boost up the car will always show and feel far faster than a N/A car.
  8. Will just be the oil pressure sender going AWOL.
  9. LPG doesnt lubricate like fuel does , so you normally see more engine wear especially piston rings.
  10. HR runs the same idea as the Pathfinder motor; Yep thats the idea Anders; Works real well.
  11. Guys, Just a quick note to say Abbey have had a name change on here I am now Mark@Abbey m/s and Tony is now Tony@Abbey m/s , will make it easier for people to work out who is replying to threads and who to answer or PM too. thanks
  12. Anders, we used this upgrade a couple of times , the better way to help the water flow is to fit HR headgaskets and modify the block to allow the water to flow the correct path; but it needs to be done when your motor is in parts. To fit this in the car will not be a nice job thou , good luck. : Mark
  13. you did Sam......
  14. yes erasing the CEL code wont lose your Uprev remap , but get the CEL code before erasing.
  15. Whats the part number for the 1/2 in ratchets please. thanks
  16. we have this in stock , email me mark@abbeymotorsport.co.uk
  17. Yep these are a huge amount of different maps for the VQ motors; The US maps do run a little less ignition timing.
  18. These motors do knock (detonate) pretty easily for a N/A car The damaged pistons is from a 06 Rev Up motor.
  19. link to a site selling all Go pro stuff;http://www.actioncameras.co.uk/GoPro_Hero_Range I buy my stuff from the US as I travel to the US on business quite often.
  20. Go pro mounted on a Board with a suction mount , it isnt me but a good friend while we was in Vallandry last week, I was at the rear on ski's with the Go pro on a chesty mount we will endeavour to edit a video with both views in soon. But here you go to see what a Go Pro records when mounted on a Board.
  21. We was using a Go pro on a board using a suction mount with good results , the only trouble is the rubber freezes and the mount falls off. We always use a safety teather as well thou; I think with some work you could make a nice mount up via the bindings, the video looking from a board is awesome , once my friend edits his video's I will post a link up for all to see,
  22. I just got back from the French Alps , We had a week in Vallandry ( Les Arcs) , awesome amount of snow over our 2011 trip. Yes it was cold , but you are on a snow based holiday and high up a mountain. We had -20 at 2000+ metres on a few days, had to wrap up worm and not take your gloves off..... Resort isnt to expensive to eat during the day, Apres ski not bad either beer a little dear 6 Euro for a Leffe or Magners. Might even slide back for a long weekend in March!!!! I have a huge amount of Go Pro footage as well , will get on editting it down once I get over my long list of un answered emails.......
  23. The car you have? who was the previous owner? I think that car had De-cat pipe fitted by the owner if I think you car was owned by who I think it was. Mark
  24. Hi, Give us a ring or email re the pricing; We are a little more expensive than £30-00 an hour thou. Mark
  25. Ekona, being a late car it will have 2 Air flow meters but I doubt these will need cleaing on such a late low mileage car. I agree we set the ECU to reomve the self learn within the ecu that it has learn over a period of time; The HR motors run so rich stock I would think adding HFC's will not cause any problems fitting to a stock car, but the remap will help, but we do see a reduction in low end torque after fitting HFC's/Decats or Motordyne ART pipes on these cars , we do tweak the cams to help this on the remap. Any more questions ask away.
