    but it can only be fixed with a new BCM. and yes i did open the old one up and its not repairable.

    well you wont "blow" the bcm. just the supply to the dome lights so they wont come on unless you press them. sounds simple but i can assure you it is soooo frustrating when gone, fumbling in the dark.

  16. certain insurers react differently to different things. you might find another insurer doesnt really care that you have 3 points but your current insurer does.

    a fuse is there to protect the harness not the module, it would prevent shorting to the module as a byproduct yes, but it wouldnt stop the overloading of the module.
