  1. Cant remember her name. Sorry. This was taken as a cover shot for BSH. |About 2003 ish Yeah a Tuono. With akra's :-) Sounds unbelievable flat out, like being chased by a spitfire Love it. I've had FZR's Ninjas and so on but this is the bike I will never sell. 125BHP at the wheel. 165 mph top end. looks utterly beautiful. Nothing else comes close. It even came with a 4 year warranty when I bought it ! Love it to bits. Thers nothing out there that I would swap it for. Not to everyones tatse obviously, but thats the point of choice isnt it ? get the bike YOU want not the one your mates wish they could buy. Best piece of advice I could possibly give :-)
  2. Thats a photo shoot from long ago.. this is my bike....
  3. I have one of these. |Did you get the Shrek box set ? Shrek 4 is Very good for 3d. Also got Alice in wonderland. Pretty good. Looking for some proper action ones.... What movies do you have ? Games: GT5 is brilliant !
  4. This is priceless ! Thank you sooo much. i have two cars confirmed now. me and the big audi. the guy with the ST is waivering due to cash but i am sure he will dive in. Will be booking the ferry in the next week, then thats it ! It's gotta happen then Please lease please more info and photo's from any one who's done similar. G man, where do you live ? I should buy you beer and pick your brains
  5. This is all excellent stuff ! keep it coming chaps I have just broken google maps as I have entered too many locations........ Where else can I plot this and get a route to work on ????
  6. Excellent info ! Thanks G man. Keep em coming !
  7. The ferry is £240 for car and 2 people. Fuel estimate - @20 mpg is £750. Hotels : about 35/ 40 pernight in a shared room. food £250 ish Beer £no limit. Memory £no limit I am budgeting about £1200, but if I get a passenger that will drop a bit and it will be more fun
  8. I am plotting a little run out in July. I of course will be in my Zed and plan to have the roof down and grin on alll the way, This little trip will take in a few long held ambitions. Car 2 will be the V10 audi - the lambo engined thing = 450 BHP !! Car three: breathed on Focus STI with 'about' 300 bhp. Three very different cars and a lot of fun to be had. Al la Top Gear i plan to have walkie talkies in the cars to throw abuse around as we go. BUT with our cumulative knowledge I am asking for some in put to make sure I see as much as possible. Here is the route: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=d&sourc ... 631836&z=5 That should take you to google maps. here is a better break down: bridgwater to portsmouth 110 miles fery toi cherbourg Cherbourg to Pamplona 800 miles In pamplona for the festival of the Bulls. Yep, run with the bulls ! Via Pyrenees drop left back into France and on to Millau bridge 380 miles geneva 353 miles Montruex by the way of lake geneva. Where Smoke on the Water was recorded. 60 miles Into alps through national parks etc to brig-glis 74 miles Turn left to Luzern 87 miles On to Uhlingen 65 miles Nail it through German forrests etc to Adenau. Where they keep the Nurbergring 340 miles Through Luxembourg to Riems in France again 229 miles To cherbourg for the 7 pm ferry 312 miles Home 110 miles. Some 2500 miles in 8 days. cool :-) Any suggestion for thing to look at that does not involve huge deviations from this route ? What vital must see doodahs have I missed ? Any photo's to support the route I have chosen? Has any one done this or bits of it ? All I have to do now is get the other two guys to actually say yes and book the ferry instead of just talking about it...... Cheers y'all.
  9. |I loveed TG... more out of habit than anything else....... It's no where near as good as it used to be. Where are the challenges ? A £150K Porsche is better than a £50 beetle ??? Blimey whoda thought...... Loved the JAg, but no the fin. New Stig is faster. I have driven an 'old' Atom. Bloody hell. A breath too much throttle coming out of a corner and she steps out. The V8 will be ,,, will be... umm... unimaginable. An extra £120K though ? Nah stick to the 'little' one and scare yourself witless. I will be there with the faithful next week.....
  10. Out today... roof down even if it was drizzling, didnt get wet. Turned heater to max and divert into footwells and was toasty too. Love love love it
  11. With you all the way. please tell me when you find something that will do it :-)
  12. Just sold one of these. Dont worry about MPG, it's waaaay better than the Z ! Was getting mid 30's !! I miss it......
  13. I had an R reg Spider for a while. LOVED it ! What a fabbo car to drive. Threw it in a ditch which was a sad / painful end to the experience. I soooooo nearly bought a brera spider instead of the Zed, but down on power and front wheel drive. Even got as far as putting one in the garage to see if it would fit ! Prefer the Zed though
  14. There are three types of the stuff. Brown White and Blue. Blue will have your lungs out in 9 mths if it goes wrong. The other two will take 15 years or so. A 3M mask will only annoy you and will not protect you. You need a positive pressure mask with the correct spec filter. These are available about the place - googl it. All debris must be double bagged with the outer bag showing the word asbestos. This can be disposed of by a haz waste company - viridor for ex. Check it's actually asbestos ! Lots of people run around in circles for feck all. Asbestos was touted as a wonder material years ago so loads of people incorporated the name into thier products, asbestolux etc. It does not actually mean there is any asbestos in it. Take a sample and get it analyzed, then decide what to do. I would do it my self ONLY if I could get the kit. You will need lots of poly sheet to line walls etc to allow a complete clean down. top tip: before starting spray with carpet adhesive and when you finish spray EVERYTHING and EVERYWHERE with hairspray. This catches the fibres and causes them to fall to the ground where you can wrap them up in said poly to throw away. hope this helps
  15. enjoyed it. below par certainly but still made me larf. And a stig is borne ! happy christmas and new year to all the boys in scary places around the world. Thanks lads, and be safe.
  16. carefull about this... 600hz is the bus speed. NOT the refresh rate. It is better but it's relying on old interpretations of that kind of figure. As for fuzzy plsma, yes they do look like that in the shop when linked to 40 other tv's. get them to connect a blu ray to a full 1080P HD screen and get the popcorn. I nearly bought a non - 3D 60" for the same price as a 50" 3D. But then thought ah feck it, what am i doing ??? I bought the sammy 50 and after setting up is super fabbo. Be aware, if you are running a AV system you will need HDMI 1.4. I had to buy a new amp too........ I soooo wanted that number plate too..... DO NOT BUY YOUR HDMI CABLE IN CURRYS !!!!!!!!! Go to ukhdmi.com real good and real cheap compared to high street. i bought a 4M and a 2M for £45 delivered. A 3M in Currys was £85
  17. LED /LCD are best for sharpness, as long as nothing moves ! For action etc Plasma is still king. I bought the dog's wotsits from Pioneer 6 years ago for 3K, bloody.fan.tastic. I have only just updated it, as in boxing day sale. i bought the 50" Samsung - second only to the panasonic(just) - that came with two sets of glasses and a 3d blu ray player for £889 from curry's. it's bloody brill. There is some floaty things in the room but it seems to be more about depth. The image seems to just sink into the wall. Size is everything of course but the 60" is about £2K. Of course you do know GT5 is in 3D............ have a good look around AVFORUMS for more informed info.
  18. sorry dude, bought a 50" 3D tv and new surround amp instead. Would have liked to have plate but pocket money only goes so far....
  19. My Mrs wants to buy a chicken and call it Cluck Norris..... almost worth it
  20. it's simple.... Santa knows there is no spoon.

    Got a new camera

Don't knock the digital darkroom ! Every pro in the world uses it. Why shouldnt you ? When I have printed stuff in a wet dark room there was so much that could be done to the image. What grade etc... The digital dark room is the same, only much much better. getting the exposure just so and colour saturation and so on is as much part of the creative process as knowing what to do with the camera. promise :-) It's loadsa fun. Try some creative cropping. change it to a black and white or maybe sepia tone etc etc There is no 'cheating', only fun. Don't believe any miserable b'starde who says digital aint real photography either. The Model T and the fabbo 350Z are both versions of the same thing. Which would you prefer to drive
