  1. Drove down to my parents on Wednesday. The Zed got a prime parking spot below my bedroom window under a streetlamp
  2. What are the 2 discs in the bumper mesh of the black Zed?
  3. The Turtlewax Headlight Restoration kit is my favourite. Those little sanding pads are just nice and really cut through the oxidation layer. Even the sealant wipes lasted longer than the Meguiars aerosol lacquer sealant that I tried. Definitely with the £12 or so from Amazon as your photos prove
  4. Well 11 months but it's close enough. Got the Scorpion Y-pipe and non resonated cat back exhaust with rolled tips supplied and fitted by my local Scorpion dealer in Stockport for £740. The tips look only a little wider than OEM and have a nice little Scorpion logo embossed above. I wasn't a fan of the slashed cut tips originally offered by Scorpion but they now come with OEM style rolled tips The clamps that join the tailpipes to the backbox are only visible from underneath the car and everything fitted 100%. My only minor quibble is that due to the wider tips I can no longer get my hand between the top of the tailpipe and the bumper for cleaning and polishing, but can get a MF mitt between held either side to shine them up like shoe polishers of old. In 2 months I've done alot of motorway miles. 2 trips to London at 4-5 hrs each way and 2 Midlands meets at about 2 hrs each way, so thought I'd give some feedback. The sound is hardly louder than stock on cold start up so very neighbour friendly. When cruising, the sound is still civilised even at motorway speeds. The sound does change to a more hollow tone at around 3k rpm but I wouldn't say it's an annoying drone........just not as pleasing as when it hits 4k and over when it sounds sweet as a nut. So much so, I'll often not bother with 4th gear when going for a drive locally I also now find myself driving with the window down more so I can hear the sounds bouncing off walls and underpasses as I open her up in 2nd gear. I so regret sticking with the OEM one for 15 years but then again with the OEM one looking so damn fine it was hard to just dump them while still in good nick. Despite the finish of the tips being so smooth they do tend to pick up stubborn contaminants more easily than stock and need an old clay bar every couple weeks to keep then glassy smooth. I am on standard suspension and had to drive over some pretty scary speed bumps in London and my pet hate the speed mounds that just occupy the central part of your lane meaning the tyres go either side of it with you expecting to hear your exhaust flexis getting ripped off. Thankfully no hint of a scrape so it's all well tucked up under the Zed's undercarriage In conclusion, it's considerably cheaper than it's Invidia counterpart, which has more seemless pipework between tips and backbox. However, the tips are wider and look more meaty and you have the advantage of a lifetime warranty. It's closest competition would be the Cobra, but even that was more expensive for me at the time, had a smaller (less attractive imho) back box and lacked the lifetime warranty. https://youtube.com/shorts/Y9d8-IoUSaI?feature=share
  5. That Candy Ruby Red looks divine. Amazes me how Candy paints look so DEEP as if you could swim in them....... almost like a hologram. Never seen a Candy coated Zed in real life so I look forward to seeing yours at some point in the future
  6. I absolutely adore that wheel design on a Dimma 205
  7. After seeing all the original Pug 2015 gti's on Sunday at the British Motor Museum Gaydon meet, I dug out some pics of the last time I saw a Dimma kitted 205 at a meet 4 years ago. I think along with the Dimma wheels it still looks awesome to this day and would gladly own one over a stock one. The same cannot be said for the numerous Combat Corsa kits that made them look like the b@$t@rd offspring of the Veilside Supra However, despite loving the Veilside Supra back in the day, I'd probably prefer a Supra with the OEM TRD Aero kit over the Veilside now. What aftermarket kits can you think of that are still timeless to this day.
  8. Welcome to the OC Where abouts in the country are you based?
  9. Shame there were no 306 Dtubos there seeing as we both had the pleasure of owning one Dave. Those were the days when I thought the standard 14" alloys on them looked amazing......FOURTEENS!
  10. As always, nice chatting to members, meeting new faces and getting to know previous acquaintances a bit better
  11. Even a Cossie snuck into the venue
  12. Surprisingly alot of space left around the engine
  13. NismoAndy showed me his 5.7litre V8 💪
  14. Two cars that I'd not seen close up before were this black beauty........gotta love those Volks😉
  15. What a gorgeous day. Sun shining A Zed convoy to the meet Great spacious location to catch up with fellow Zedders There was even the JCW and Peugeot clubs in full attendance in their designated areas too, so plenty to see.
  16. Just back from the MidlandsZ meet. There'll be more better quality pics on that thread from others but here's one without my foot (old joke)
  17. Just finished one of my touchless washes followed by a spray of Turtle Wax Dry and Shine and a touchless blow dry for tomorrow No idea why my car has turned from orange to blue in the top thumbnail
  18. Welcome to both new members. If you are free there's a great Zed meet tomorrow....... https://www.350z-uk.com/topic/127899-british-motor-museum-gaydon-sunday-5th-sept-2021/
  19. Don't forget to take and upload photos/video of the day peeps. Looking forward to seeing footage of this.
  20. The 350z lines look so good it's almost got that wide arch look from factory. That vertical crease in the front bumper near the reflector continuing up the headlight to the front wing🥰
  21. Some real gems there👍
  22. Jas your exhaust failed at the common flange between back box and mid pipe? You can get this repaired fairly cheap at a exhaust place. Or has your y-pipe failed at the flexis? Mine was failing at both. It's worth phoning your local exhaust place. My local Scorpion dealer managed to supply and fit both a Scorpion y pipe and cat back exhaust cheaper than me sourcing them from eBay suppliers. Was about £740 all in with a lifetime warranty too!
  23. I'll be up for meeting at Notcutts .
  24. Not the fastest but still 4 seats and maybe going up https://youtu.be/fnqLtqW9f9k
