  1. Most of my family are based in KL and the tax on luxury cars is insane. Even a Honda civic is a status symbol over there Crazy thing is the same tax applies to bringing 2nd hand cars in. My dad retired and wanted to take his 10 yr old Mazda 626 back to Malaysia. Car was worth about £700 in UK but they wanted £8000 import tax just to bring it in Worked out cheaper for him to buy a brand new Malaysian built car fully loaded
  2. 5th and last ones are my favs. Reflections on the bonnet in the 5th one are crazy and the last pose just sets her off a treat
  3. You got mad skills. In your past life were you a member of the A-Team
  4. Bluetooth adaptors and waseem brings back a chuckle or two Can't find the original thread, but it did end up getting a bit harsh on poor waseem FUNNIEST THREAD I'VE READ THOUGH
  5. Having a crash at motorway speeds must be scary as hell!
  6. Do you find the 1st CD you loaded in your zed on collection day now triggers a surge of "happy hormones" as it brings back memories of that glorious occasion On one fine day in Aug '05 it was Missy Elliot: the cookbook that supplied the tunes while I spent the whole day feeding a tank of Shell's finest through my beloved Zed's internals. Not my favourite album by any means but one that now has a special place in my collection
  7. Not heard of a Manchester fitter but I think a few NW members have used CS and said the work was good. I don't think it is too far from Manchester
  8. Now aren't you glad you didn't settle for a diesel repmobile to handle the commute to work Nomatter how hard a day you've had at work you can sit back in your Nismo'd SANCTUARY, grab that momo wheel and let your stresses fade to the sweet music bellowing from your Nismo pipes Really pleased how things have worked out for you and can't wait to see you and your zed again in the flesh
  9. I reckon these numpties that seek out isolated cars in the carparks are so bad at parking that they find it easier to line up and park using our cars as a guide rather than using the painted lines of the bay. JUST A BUNCH OF LAZY UNSKILLED "FLOATERS" FLOATERS is a new term someone at work came up with to describe annoying little sh$ts who you can't get rid of
  10. Just come home after an hours drive avoiding the motorway.... taking THE LONG WAY Roads were empty and dry. When you're surrounded by traffic it dulls the sense of speed as you perceive yourself to be crawling along with the masses. Noise polution from other cars dulls the sound of my stock zed. But tonight, window down, zipping around through town was a joy, with the zed "feeling" faster even at sensible speeds. GOTTA LOVE DRIVING AROUND AT NIGHT
  11. Your missus is one lucky lady ......and you're lucky she's not as fussy about cars as mine
  12. Showed my bro the vid. A little into it he goes " look at the size of those statues of giant legs". He didn't realize at first he was watching RC cars
  13. The guy should have bought more stickers and used them to cover the rusty bits
  14. The car doesn't have to be a performance car. Just shown wife the some images. Audi 3's and 4's. BMW 1's and 3's. Golf's. Leon's 4x4's. Getting no, no, no Only thing so far she fancies is a ford Kuga or the older model imprezas. I might end up buying a cheap older focus until she finds something she likes at this rate
  15. Could stretch to £25k for a keeper. Nothing too old. We're not the type to change cars often. Wife's had the mini 5yrs from new and is really sad to have to part with it. Before that she had a 306 for 10yrs and only sold it when I got the zed and we discovered the joys of AC and heated seats.
  16. Currently the wife has a mini with baby seat in the front. New baby arriving in april. With a bad back hauling either in and out of the back with only 2 doors doesn't look good. First thought was to get her a 4 or 5dr impreza, but would worry about undesirables carjacking or driving recklessly around her looking to race So, anyone got 2 sprigs with experience on what car to get? We've managed for 2 1/2yrs with her mini so have no experience of anything with a boot . Don't even know where to start. Is a golf sized 5dr ok? 4dr saloon? Estates?
  17. Would a sunset be allowed to join in this Azure welcoming KK meet BTW....good luck with the deal. Don't know many people with such a focused plan on getting back into 350z ownership
  18. I'm the complete opposite to a weekend driver. Use mine for the daily commute saving my other ride for the weekend. Mini Cooper rolling on 15's Can't fit wife and kid in the zed
  19. Congrats from a fellow sunsetter
  20. Spotted 8pm ish. Aftermarket wheels. Nice and shiney Was in the Mini so didn't wave at you.
  21. I say keep it if you can. If on paper it's worth peanuts come time to get a merc, use said "peanut" as a track toy or THE GREATEST SHED ON THE ROAD when you are scared of parking your newer number 1 ride in supermarkets etc. If you can afford it, you got the rest of your carreer to make money, but the years of youth fly past in a blink of an eye and you can't buy them back
  22. martinmac..... Southern Lake District Unabashed - Northwich AK350Z - West Cumbria HEADPHONES - Manchester
  23. Future classic zed threads will include remarks like "NEED'S STANDARD 18's AND RAISED SUSPENSION"
