  1. His backers put some money into purchasing the assets (a lot less than you think) and as I said Honda financed the running of it. I may seem a little bitter hear, so apologies, but the whole Brawn GP story is over hyped. Honda gave up at the start of the 2008 season, to focus on the new regs in 2009. They spent atleast 6 months longer developing the car than everyone else, and had Super Aguri designers (essentially employed by Honda) workin on it too. Honda spent hundreds of millions of £ on the project, then gave up at the last minute. Yes its a great 'story' for F1 how a team came from the ashes. Ross was a smart bloke and made use of his contacts, secured the best engine on the grid and bolted it to the most expensive and developed car on the grid. Fair play to him. Honda just wanted rid of the whole lot 'business' so were happy to just let it go so it didnt cost them any more money. They spent years pumping millions into it, and got no return.
  2. Hey Chris, are these prices delivered or is that ontop?
  3. Yes it is sad, agree they havnt said the driver didnt stop, either way its very sad, hope the driver did stop and do everything possible.
  4. How could you hit someone and not stop? Grrrrrr
  5. That white Zed looks stunning! And I own an Azure.
  6. Looks pretty good, but would be worried a little at how low it appears to sit. it maybe just the angle of the picture. Otherwise great mod, very resourceful
  7. I just thought the Z in the picture was just far away! Jesus, that is one wide car. Good on you, hope you get it to fit alright.

    HFC spacers

I agree, id rather get them from a trader on the site and pay a couple of pounds extra, than buy from some company on Ebay. Plus the ones from Clark MS look a better quality item than the ebay ones.

    HFC spacers

Ah cool, not what i pictured in my mind. Is your £15 inc delivery, as the site says £12

    HFC spacers

Cheers Ewen/Alex will bear you in mind, im guessing they just slip over the O2 sensor and pull the sensor out of the exhaust flow a little

    HFC spacers

Occasionally getting the ECU light come on since iv fitted my HFC's and was wondering if anyone had a spacer laying around that they could take a picture of and give me the dimenions of so I can get a pair made. Unless ofcourse they are really cheap to buy.
  12. Looks like a cross between the 3200GT Maserati and an DB7 and a 350. Not a fan of it myself, but each to their own, and it will certainly be individual
  13. Humpy, thats amazing, great look. Problem now is, that everyone will be going for the Blitz style, and the V1+V2 will become rare again.
  14. Looks pretty awesome, love the spoiler, that cant have been cheap.
  15. Bye bye wingemarsh,bye bye.
  16. Sorry chaps, wont be able to make this. Hope you all have a great time and the weather holds out for you.
  17. Lotus are in trouble with finances again. People have walked out after not being paid, apparently. That maybe why they are not launching at Jerez
  18. Remove the pads and give them a clean. You may also find the inside of the disc is the same. Dont use a solvent or anything, just clean the gap out with a screw driver or something.
  19. This is what I had
  20. After a track day last year, by back discs developed a ring around them, sounds like the same as what you have. When i took the pads out, I noticed that there was some debris of some sorts, either pad or something, in the gap on the pad, This was causing the pad to hold off or something. Once id removed the debris, it was fine.
  21. Not sure if i can get out of something first, but if i can, then count me in. Im 20 minutes from Bedford, and love the GT track. Just avoid the kerb on the last corner, speaking from a trouser wetting experience
  22. I use Dodo Juice Supernatural Its no frills, but works brilliantly, and though expensive to buy, last for ages as you need so little of it
  23. Great thread, car looks as mean as hell! How are you finding the short shifter? I thought Octet had one and took it off as it caused him issues of some kind? Also, where did you source it?
  24. +1 for the MPSS's. I stumped up for a full set a couple of weeks ago, and have been really surprised by them. The Falken (Which were on before) were always regarded as one of the best tyres to get if you didnt want to get the MPSS's, but these are on another level. Cant believe how much better they are in every way. The amount of traction iv got is amazing. We had torrential rain yesterday while I was out driving, and had really cold, greasy roads here the past week or so, and iv not yet found myself in trouble with grip or traction. Never bought expensive tyres for my car, as im not a race driver, however, im now converted, as cant get over how much better they are in every way over the 452's. Been told I should also get more life from these than I did with the Falkens, so thats good. (Im guessing because your not over speeding the tyres so much, because you have more grip, the tyres are not ripping up as much)
