  1. Just remember, they are a abit of a pig to change, and a faff, so if you buy a cheap set and they fail in a year, then you have to replace them, pay garage costs, etc, is it really worth the hassle, when you can buy a proven set for a little more and fit and forget.
  2. I went for the Invidia HFC's from Tarmac, and was impressed with the quality of them over the £40 cheaper Berks (though the Invidia stuff does not come with gaskets or bolts) The Invidia's are alot better quality than the Berks too. You have to get the cats really hot to pass the emissions, id recommend a good 20 rag, then leave the car idling while you go get the MOT person, and do the emissions first while they are hot. Thats what i did, and they passed fine. Berks, and id imagine all HFC's are the same
  3. I am a composite man, and my wife works for an aerospace company.
  4. Thanks for this, will try it when i do a track day. You never answered my question about who you work for......
  5. Id say Kaiser Motors or Abbey would be your best bet, both highly rated and traders on here
  6. Surely if more people were interested in it, they would have bid on ebay and driven the price up more. I have no idea how much extra the guy made over what he paid, but at the end of the day, things are only worth what people are willing to spend, and if he got a good deal out of it,then fair play, cant judge the guy for that. Aslong as the seller is happy with the price they paid, thats the most important thing.
  7. Why don't we have some rules where only people interested to buy can comment on the for sale threads? What's the reason to comment like that if you're not actually looking to buy, don't you have anything better to do? Go on YouPorn for instance... It might help you calm down a bit... Guess he's lucky this isn't a for sale thread then I guess that there should also be a rule about offering support to people following a successful sale too, stops people claiming something works perfectly when it's been bodged... Sales of goods act or something like that... As for the actual kit, its worth what is it worth. Regardless of how much he originally paid for it, i think most people would sell something for what is it worth, rather than what you paid for it, especially as he has sourced and provided a few extra bits so it is ready to go. Dont really see what the issue is to be honest. If a buyer is willing to pay X for something, who gives a monkeys about the rest of the alphabet.
  8. Good effort, love the MX5 too, looks mental
  9. Did a track day a couple of years back with an E92 M3, and the brakes were pinging etc after a few hot laps, and needed cooling. The Zed's brakes were fine for how ever many I wanted to do.
  10. Eh thats great Alex, do you have any for sale.......?lol
  11. What settings have you got them on? I found the hardest settings front and rear were too firm for road use, so now use middle rear, and softest front. All on hard for the odd track day, which seems ideal.
  12. So is Spacsavers like Specsavers, just for special people?
  13. Lol,nice one Will. Yet to be seen at the factory! Im having a good guess who will be performing at our works do's now
  14. To be told that she should join the forum, and to challenge her to get a welcome post above the number of pages that the previous young lady got when she joined.
  15. She obviously needs to be found and told! If i see her in the Zed il do my best.
  16. Atleast you have options, and good to know Tarmac is supporting you with getting it all sorted, not that I ever doubted he wouldnt. Personally, id go for the wide arches, as they would go really well with the BGW. Im guessing different calipers (ie 6pots) are out of the question?
  17. Blimey, that is a pretty impressive list. Though disappointing to see that the care is a little fragile, and cant believe it does not have split fold rear seats, thats outrageous! As an overall package, i think its a hard car to beat, is there enough space for family stuff in the back, or would you recommend the touring? As for the brakes, could you not upgrade to the BMW 6pots?
  18. I remember them being a tight squeeze when I test fitted the bushes into the brackets, but had faith that with some pressure and lube, all would fit and they did. Glad you got it all sorted, are you impressed with them?
  19. That does look tasty, real race car spec!
  20. Is the spoiler blended in with the bootlid, or is that just how it sits, and im guessing this needs new holes drilling in the bootlid to get it to fit on a different one.
  21. Sorry to see this mate. One method maybe is to get 6 pot brakes, or something with a slimer profile to the standard Brembo's, or machine the Brembo's back to clear the wheels (if its only a slight mismatch) Im guessing you needed the 25mm spacers to clear the brakes, so a smaller spacer wouldnt work. You could also go Veilside wide arch......
  22. Sure its a simple fix. I fitted mine myself with no issues. I seem to remember them being a tight fit, as they hve to be, but you slap a load of lube over them anyway, so it all squeezes together nicely and does not squeak
  23. Really like these, a couple of guys at work have them, one of them chipped and lowered on BBS wheels. Is your one an auto (dont think iv seen many manuals for sale) Also, have you got the M3 brakes on yours, look bigger than I remember on the standard car.
