    heel+toe

the Nismo pedal does help. I find that unless I'm really on the case (track) then toe and heel is difficult for me, ie. unless you are braking very hard (late) you don't have enough pressure to hold foot in position on brake and blip throttle with edge of foot. I can't do it for show boating alone. But this may just be me and my poor style.
  2. Hi Richard - I heard you had dropped by. I had very good service - many thanks for recommendation. I hope you're as happy with yours.
  3. This would have been a fantastic result if it was a mid-season outing, to have achieved this first time out in the Zed is brilliant - very well done for car prep and driving (hopefully the brands race dates are somewhere on the forum ?) PS. I have a Brian James Minno trailer, but I think it's too small for the Zed.
  4. very best of luck.... enjoy how much race experience do you have ?
  5. many thanks Rich, Andlid & Adriank
  6. What is the importance of the weave ? I've just purchased an exhaust from a member on the forum, and it's arrived with half the weave missing on one flexi joint and corroded amd missing parts of the collar that holds the weave in place. I'm told the exhaust doesn't leak, so I'm assuming the butt welds of the exhaust are all ok (and this looks the case when you look inside). But is the weave important ?
  7. Glad this went well for CS and you all. I would have come but for long journey back from Cornwall on the Friday, especially as CS has given me some great service
  8. looks to me beavis that your ready to move on from the red tops/comics/gutter press (then you'll be safe...
  9. very neat... and nice to see variuos mods in motion
  10. Travelling from M25 to Looe. Google maps gives a 3 minute difference in time, but M3 is ~20 miles shorter. Which motorway route is best to use please (travelling this Sunday), M3 or M4. thanks...
  11. ex and current Loti owners welcome here as said earlier and another for S1 Exige. in my experience the Lotus equivalent wasn't as reliable as the VX mostly helped by the super reliable VX engine (ie. no HGF's !!) and my mates S1 exige experience. VX was my everyday car for 5 years, 20k miles in first year alone, but I admit it was hard [very cold] during winter (but good fun driving on snow...).
  12. I hope that's a wind up Mitchell !! ?? very poor show if not from a Zed owner Also a No No from me to take two spaces. It doesn't take that much effort to find a decent space as advised above.
  13. If this exhaust will improve sound on the stock system on a standard Zed then very interested here - cash waiting if a fair price
  14. I was a definite for this, on my wall calendar etc. But family decided to book a lego land weekend on the same dates So I'll have to wait until next time (please post next avialble dates when known).

    .

Gary - to save all that stripping, how about a swap with a standard 2005 GT Gun Metal, <29k miles, FNSH etc with cash ?
  16. there's a vauxhall breakers in 'Walton on the naze' that used to break VX220s, just search on the latter.
  17. very nice.... (I can vouch that in the flesh the bonnet and front lip look very good together - very mean. To be fair you can't really see this in the pics as the lip has too much polish/glare
  18. Some pics kindly taken and supplied by Louis just to remind us that were there what a glorious sunny day it was
  19. more details please Danny... and another pic of my ex...
  20. Noticed across several posts that there's several ex VX220 owners now with Zeds - a natural progression for me. Let us know what you had and when. I'll go first. Bought my Silver NA new and owned for 5yrs and 76k miles. Was one of the founder members of VX220.org and a a mod. Which means I probably know you unless you bought and sold in last two years? My VX was tracked and sprinted, and travelled all over Europe (Hockenheim track days and Nurburgring). Never missed a beat. Ended up with Nitrons, Oz wheels and Stage 5 tune from Courtney (re-profiled cams) etc etc so went as well as she looked. What about you ?
  21. I'm not a number - Ooops - oh yes I am
  22. Neat... Saw the Ferrari breadvan in action at Silverstone Classic - not very pretty from the back but veeerry fast... easily won it's race against the other [very pretty] 250 SWBs
