  1. you must have seen my GM there (S3 OOY)... it's been there for two days; P2 service, panel filter, plenum spacer, remap, braided hoses, new upgraded discs (DBA ?)... plus a few bits they found wrong and re-alignment... looking fwd to results at Combe in May
  2. thanks chaps.. It's completely stock and will probably stay like that for a while at least. I haven't been on bike [on road] for ~9 years so I'll be taking it easy (my last bike was a blade though, and I did have 3 days at Almeria on a racing SV650 end of last year.. this was my taster if I still had some bike blood in me or not).
  3. Spending some money but worth it..... Picked the bike up today & booked 5yr service, braided hoses, plenium spacer, panel filter and re-map with Abbey for week after next Can't sleep with all the excitement
  4. Great work Martin... hanging nciely over desk
  5. Wanted for my daughter. [My] cash waiting if anyone has something suitable. North Essex. Thanks
  6. done & done Great job Martin - again
  7. very nice..... (and not a stubby or spacer in sight
  8. you can't deny it has (batmobile) presence... maybe not my choice but hats off to the guy for taking it on... and very cheap ($ per sq metre).
  9. A nice one for next years revival please... Found some good candidates on trip advisor but all ready booked
  10. I wouldn't say that... I think a few are sitting on the fence
  11. thanks chaps... some good pause for thought offered above...
  12. Great choices IMHO of how to spend a serious amount of dosh - much respect
  13. Always fancied one... only as a play thing. Test rode one years back and nearly purchased except for crippling wrists... but will do less miles now and mostly track days... But also considering MV Agusta... & now a buddy has offered me his one owner 2004 R1 at a good price... Heart still says 748... any experience... self or associates ?
  14. Braver than me as I alway park at the end of a row too give everyone as much chance to not bash my doors... Great looking car... but then I'm biased...
  15. many thanks chaps for advice/feedback
  16. I managed to scrape front bumper and wing on garage door Very small scratch on wing, but down to metal and scrape on bumper. I've had a couple of quotes, and both places will 'blow in' entire wing and bumper. I'm really nervous on colour match, but assured by both it will not be visible. Anyone had similar on their GM and can testify this will be the case ? (I'm North Essex but will travel and pay the price for a perfect job). Thanks....
  17. Hi Mitch... sorry to read this. If it was the chap I met (when parked next door to you recently) then he did come across as a very genuine and nice chap... but obviously had a skeleton the size of a dinosaur in the closet...... I hope the polishing and post-polish wine will help lessen the memory....
  18. Yes a bit of a 'roll', but car stock except ferodo pads. Need to improve on brakes though as significant fade after 15 mins (Rock International is a brake killer though...)... after ~1hr they had cooled sufficiently for next session. I've sent PMs to the traders who should be able to help/advise Overall though car handled great, with very predictive handling (ESP off)... as we should expect for a performance vehicle with strong reviews ...
  19. Jap Fest2 at Rockingham (Aug 2010). I had the registration on another car, and rather than keep on retention I placed on the Zed - I then learnt that 'S30' was the original code name for the 240Z - a happy coincidence
  20. As above... big thanks to Martin (always far more pain in organising these events than meets the eye Good to meet some of the 350Z crowd. Mitch - please let me know again the name/model of your rear light units - looked very smart following you up the road (plus I'm going to have to clay/polish my car so it's as bright as your GM !). The track sessions with ~6 cars were great, my last one with ~25 cars was more of a procession with some crazy driving... inlcuding overtakes on yellow flag Some pictures.... sorry for the [justified] bias towards one car...
  21. cancel that - just saw your latest post
