  2. Tried Nissan themselves? Wonโ€™t be cheap, but will be right.
  3. Aghh! These things! They have become the bane of my driving life, so I'm going to bite the bullet and source the really expensive third revision (metal-shielded) Nissan part. (350Z DE camshaft sensor, for anyone who hasn't encountered them yet). But when conducting my first change I encountered an enigma: The videos and listings I've seen typically show these as a pair. One is flat, one is angled. I assumed that was simply cosmetic to aid in accessibiliy, but it turns out they actually have different plug connections. When I started rummaging around on the back of my engine I was surprised to find I had two of the flat ones in there. Importantly, I also had the corresponding plugs, which suggests it's deliberate and not 'bodged'. A bit of research suggests that during one revision, they opted to ditch the angled sensor in favour of two of the same flat sensors, with the corresponding connectors. But I've since found the opposite may be true: They swapped one of the flats for one of the angled cam/crank sensors. What's the crack? So after that long preamble, my questions are: Has anyone else found the same? Can anyone recommend a place I can buy 2 of the 3rd revision metallic flat sensors (23731-AL60D)? Cheers. P.S. I posted this to the FB group but the post's been waiting for approval for a couple of days and I need to get this fixed as the car's not starting well.

  5. Best to PM me with a list of what 370 parts you require Alex.

  7. Sounds good, let me know how you get on.
  8. Our slightly modified Z drove seamlessly through Europe to Nurburgring band back, plus a couple of Ring laps, not the fastest by any stretch but voted best sounding car on track by the group we went with!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Œ

  10. Probably not a good idea to put your mobile number on a public forum. better to use the PM function

I'd put it on a diagnostic tablet & graph all 4 corners on a screen, the graph will show you which (if any) are dropping out. My Launch does this, very handy indeed.

Stability control will be a constant calculation using yaw rate, steer angle and wheel speed. It will intervene if it detects oversteer or understeer by applying brakes and cutting engine power. Can't answer for specifics on zeds, but that's the general idea.
  16. Couldn't agree with you more, and a car that not everyone is aware of

What wheel is locking up on right turn? Is the wheel locking up without applying the brakes? All parts are in stock to fix this issue. Hubs, ABS sensors, yaw sensors. etc. etc. etc.

Hmm, so do you know if the stability control works solely from the yaw sensor or would the wheel speed have an input?
  19. Not a future Nissan but OMG, the Nissan that made me fall in love with them! That car is beautiful ๐Ÿ˜

As far as I'm aware abs does not apply brakes but the stability control will.

Ye, zero codes though and drives normal when it's straight/gentle cornering. Just kicks in abs when I turn right

I take it you've scanned it to verify you're on the right corner? Does look knackered that though.
  24. A pair of door handles, unmarked and ideal for colour coordinating. As most will know, the 370 had 2 differing manufacturing materials, some were all, plastic construction, others were cast aluminium frames with plastic handles, these are the latter. Both types fit exactly the same. ยฃ40 inclusive of postage. Really isn't a big job to change them over, there again not much on the Zed is.

Coming towards the end of my restoration and I've got an issue with the brakes. New pads and discs fitted but when I turn right the abs kicks in and gets to lock the wheel up, quite scary! I've pulled the hub and sensor to take a look. Sensor looks fine but the hub has some weird marks on the abs ring. Assuming this is the issue I've ordered freshies but just wondering if anyone has seen such an issue? I'm not sure what cas causes the marks either ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ Car turns fine with abs disabled btw.
