ZMANALEX Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 (edited) Okay, so I have the engine out of the 35 for some essential maintenance work and decided to upgrade the Turbos when the engine was out and also upgrade the fuel pumps. Gearbox out later tonight, however that is a different story. This with supporting upgrades already fitted will provide me with 700 bhp. Just waiting on a few gaskets and the unit will be good for refit. Then I will install and program a stage 4.5 map and proceed to carry out some data logging and fine tune as required. This remote mapping caper is certainly the business. Edited July 16, 2015 by ZMANALEX 11 Quote
Justthejedi Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 THAT is some serious bit of kit......next car i get will be the GTR. Might take me a few years but that's the dream.....gotta have dreams and goals in life! Quote
Stutopia Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 EPIC! If you ever fancy popping that lot into a Zed, you know, for the challenge of it all. I'd let you do it for next to nothing on mine. I'll even drive her up there, good to go, next day Quote
ZMANALEX Posted July 16, 2015 Author Posted July 16, 2015 Gearbox and rear subframe now out, so guess that it is now time for a few beers. 1 Quote

How's this work I've an ecu tek cable winging it's way to me now Simples, just load the software to your PC/tablet/laptop using the interface and key. Then load the appropriate base map. Carry out the appropriate data logging. Send your logs to your master tuner. Your master tuner will then review the log file and make any necessary changes. Try and get all the logs on to one file. allaboutthepasty Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 This is an R35 powered 350Z? Are there any videos of this thing? Quote
P15UL T Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Think this is Alex's GTR. He has a 666bhp 350z too. Was lucky enough to get some passenger laps in them the other week. Both extremely fast cars with a great driver behind the wheel ! Quote
grahamc Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Looking good. Shame that without the built engine you will need to cap the torque, but it's very impressive what can be had from the standard engine with relative simple (bolt-on) mods. Fuelling, exhaust, induction, turbo and a remap..... So simple! Very interested to see what a stage 4.5 car is like against mine.... Been tempted by the modded turbos for a little while now The remote mapping is awesome... So simple and it's a try and repeat process and you can have any mapper work on the car. We had a car with issues at an event and ended up changing the gearbox map at a fuel stop. Good luck with it and lookin forward to the results!! Quote
ZMANALEX Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Base map now in and running sweet as a nut. Quote
nissanman312 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Base map now in and running sweet as a nut. i wanted to go out and do some loging tonight but havnt been able to get hold of litchfeild today do you know if i need anything from them other than the cable dongle and software on the laptop to be able to go out and log bearing in mind the car is already tuned by them Quote
ZMANALEX Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 All you require is the dongle key, cable and interface and software on your lappy. However you will require detailed instructions from Iain on what data logging he requires from you, specific to your tune and especially WOT logs. They pick up on the main switch board 01684 850999 but tend to ignore emails. If you require Iains mobile then drop me a pm. Quote
nissanman312 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 thanks for that alex ive got his mobile and called office today so he knows ive called just dont want to pester him lol ive an idea of what hes after my engine light is set to flash on knock detection in my v power map and it is flashing on low revs/load we need to find out why also had error code come up the other day cant rember the code but it was random missfire or somthing so somthing isnt right ian thought could be coilpacks. but without looking at car personaly couldnt be sure. right i shall go and fire her up and have a play Quote
