zakeri88 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Hey guys I've been loving my 2009 Z, had it for about 6 months now. There's one thing that I find quite strange and I'm not sure why this is so. When I drive the Z with traction control on, which is most of the time, the car feels fine. When I turn off traction control the car literally feels like a different animal all together - the gear changes seem smoother, the car seems to accelerate a bit quicker and general responsiveness seems to improve quite a bit. Granted it also tries to kill me in corners but other than its a very different driving experience. Does anybody else find this? I thought the whole point of TC was simply to detect when the wheels are starting to slip, cutting power before you end up backwards in a hedge somewhere. Is it doing something else too? Cheers! docwra Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I always thought it was better to drive with TC off and Ive got another mate who is the same, it just feels a bit sharper Quote
Kev Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I was amazed to read some none uk 350z's don't have traction control. Wouldn't want one of those in manchester. Quote
G1uk2010 Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I turn it off a lot... find it comes on too easy when going over some bumps Quote
comrade Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 TC has exactly zero effect on normal everyday driving. Your brain is telling you porkies. Quote
