Beavis Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Ok, I want one., It's official. +1 i love it Quote
Ian Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 It may be time to stop spending money on the Z and save for a GTR Quote
Zedrush Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 it may be time to buy the domain name www.gtr-uk.com if we all gonna get it Quote
Ian Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dsbfE4RDVgY - might be a repost I didnt check but worth seeing again Quote
Stew Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 It'll be a fair while off for me. It could make a good used buy. It might just drive the R34 GTR prices down too...... Quote
Ian Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 It might just drive the R34 GTR prices down too...... I hope so, Im still a few years from being able to insure an R34 anyway Quote
GC350z Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 It might just drive the R34 GTR prices down too...... A friend of mine is counting on it. He wants the R34 vspec NurII even more then I want the new GTR. Guy Quote
Stew Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Never checked the insurance on a GTR. I don't think they are as pretty as the Z, the girlfriend hates the look of Skylines. She could be persuaded on a new one though I think! Quote
GC350z Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 Insurance for me on a 34 is the same as the Z. In fact when I got quoted last year the insurance was the same for a stock 34 and a GTR 34. Broker couldn't explain it. The only reason I didn't get one at the time was the price. €70,000 for a 2000/2001 GTR. Quote
Ian Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I can insure a GTR for 2.5k - Im just about to renew the Z and that £1079 with mods covered like for like. Quote
jim Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Came home early, read the Autocar feature on the GT-R, then came on here and saw these pics etc. I WANT ONE TOO. Quote
polarbear Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 Am I the only one to think that the centre part of the dash looks like it comes from an 80s pickup truck? I like the VDU for the usual boost, lateral G, etc, etc but the black plastic below it with the heater dials looks Small price to pay for 450bhp and 3.5s to 60 I guess??? Quote
sinbad Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Videos here http://jstylecars.com/?p=155 Love the look of the Black edition. Quote
ir_fuel Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 wow the front looks much better than on those pics. I WANT ONE TOO  Quote
Snotz Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Also want one. Saw this on one pistonheads... any buyers? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/280857.htm Quote
Sarnie Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 Also want one. Saw this on one pistonheads... any buyers? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/280857.htm Very tempted, and I'm starting to like it more and more buuuuuuuuut The colours (or lack of them) are very uninspiring. Also I think at £60k I do start to become a badge snob......... Quote
Trev-the-Rev Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 I think this is one of those cars that you buy at about 1-2 years old when someone else has already taken a kicking in terms of depreciation. Quote

I pretty much do that with all my cars to be fair. Once it gets to about £45k then thats when I'd be tempted. Quote

GC350z Posted November 3, 2007 Author Posted November 3, 2007 I wouldn't expect depreciation to be massive with each engine being hand built numbers will be limited. I would also expect Nissan to limit numbers into the UK. Quote
