Nissan reveals new GT-R price

With 2,300 orders in the bag, the Nissan GT-R has already got off to a roaring start. And it’s no wonder, as it delivers Porsche 911 Turbo pace for the price of a BMW M3. Now, the firm has announced the supercoupé will cost from $71,900 (£35,300) when it goes on sale in the US next summer. It arrives here in March 2009. UK prices won’t be announced until September, but are set to start at around £50,000.

Why so much more than the USA,

Id still get the camaro over this, less money, looks just as mean and stick a Supercharger in the beast and it will see that and double it :teeth:

Dont compare cars which you modify (or would modify) with a car coming straight from the factory.

It's like saying you dont want a 911 Carrera Turbo or a Gallardo, you ll get a 350Z and Turbocharge it so it will see that and double it :headhurt:

Modified or not, i would take the camaro over the GTR anyday.

Plus why not compare? Thats the beauty of modifications.

Because it makes no sense.

Then you could say, "but if that GTR pushes 500hp with standard internals it can be modified to push 800" etc etc

Fair enough, however rumours say the top spec Camaro priced at about £35k will be pushing around 500hp ;) However that is not confirmed and still set as 400hp at the moment
