She's well used old boy, but needs a bit of a re-spray to be fair, bless the graceful old thing. Still, she's done 125,000 miles, still on the original clutch, starts regular as clockwork and can, when required, make fantastic progress. I do a fair amount of mileage and she doesn't complain. I bought her to drive though and that's what I do, its why she probably looks a little 'tired'. Thanks, she was imported from Japan in September 2003, so she was an early bloom you could say. Considering the weather we have over here compared to Japan, plus the fact she get's left out in the open in a city centre, she copes pretty well. Keeping my eye's open for a future Zed related purchase, maybe a late HR 350 or maybe a 370. I'm quite 'selective' about how I 'spend' however, so I can see an 'upgrade' happening next year at the earliest ( despite you being kind enough to allow me to drive your 370 Dave *must resist the urge to buy new car. must resist...* ) The truth is the Zed is a great runner and will last for ages if looked after. The other truth is I live in a city centre with no garaging and a stuff gets knocked about, including cars. A couple of years ago someone 'car ran' over her, the quote for pushing the dents out, replacing the spoiler and respray was just over £3K. Bath is like any other city, lots of student life, lots of pubs, clubs etc, its a residential hazzard. This is why I didn't buy anything more 'exclusive', it'll jusy get knackered or it'll cost me £2 - 300 in garaging (at least) per month for the kind of car I would really want to buy. I used to see it most days as it was parked outside a branch of "Charlies" in Deeside. It apparently was owned by a woman who worked there and I believe ChrisS flyered it on more than one occasion. When I saw the title of the thread I thought to myself "so that's where it went" as this was one of the roughest Zeds I've ever seen, I don't think it was often cleaned and I don't think the exhaust tips had ever been cleaned. Garaging in town is pricey. I pass your beast on a regular occurance and can't really recall it ever looking tired. I certainly wouldnt have guessed that she has 125,000 on the clock. She looks sweet, I think it is the only red one I have seen in the flesh and you certainly don't come across many with colour coded Brembos, a set of Rotas and Nismo wing. Maybe it just needed a wash? +1 on garaging in Bath! So bloody expensive and like gold dust! The trees are huge and dwarf the architecture, you can spot them from the other side of Bath! Although they are impressive which is expected being the best part of 200 years old. Historically John Wood didn't envisage them, his vision was a structure based on the colosseum that had very little in the way of nature, in fact he only wanted us to view a natural sky. The landscaping specified was urban and functional; a central reservoir that served the houses and provided them with water. I believe this was hidden under paving. Although decades later the residents decided to fence off a public area generating a central garden that acted as a buffer absorbing noise and dust generated by horse and cart. Now we have five huge trees that some argue should be felled due to honesty, structural issues, the functioning of drainage and visual obstruction.
