It's been a blast, but the Z has gone.

Afternoon all,

As some have guessed at recently, and now the new owner has joined the forum its high time I say my farewells. I'm sure I will still be lurking around the place checking in on project threads, plus I still have a garage full of stuff to sell.

However, the Z has sold. It's been a blast and this is one of the most active and friendly forums I have been on. This coupled with my immediate proximity to the 'Zed Shed' led me to meet a lot of good friends and build a good car. However I find myself being drawn more and more to the GT86 (yes yes, they are slow, but this is easily fixable), and if I continue with the Z I will continue to spend all my money on it. So the new plan is to try and re-coup money from the Z, and not mod the new daily (haha...yeah right!) whilst saving for the '86. We are also buying a house next year so need to be moderately sensible for now.

The new daily was a bargain MR2 non turbo. Rev3 with some nice subtle mods underneath. Cheap, fun and a t-bar roof :)

Any who, I'm still going to be lurking around. Will see some of you at JAE no doubt :D

Good luck Matt and all the best with saving for the GT86. ;)

Wanted to find a funny picture for you to take the micky (as you do) and found this on the net...

...the bizarre thing is though I think it came from coldel's Photobucket account as I could see pictures of what looked like his R33. Weird.:D

Hope you are going Sunday so I can give you grief for selling up! You sold those wheel nuts yet and if Grundy doesn't have them I could be tempted ;)

Seriously though hope you do get the car that you want and perhaps Tarmac will sell his to you for a good price ;)

The toy I meant was the mr2 btw lol got a soft spot for them

Yeah I LOVE the rocket bunny, my photo library is full of kitted '86's.

This is my 4th MR2, they are excellent cars. My turbo was the favourite mainly for speed and general awesomeness. But I knew if I got another I would spend silly money on it again. My old one below after engine dress phase 1

Cheers Humpertron, hopefully I can save up quickly enough and get one. I would love Tarmacs but I think he would have sold it before I get change to be in a position to buy.

Wheel nuts are still available matey :) I am hoping to pop up for an hour or so to catch up with folks, and get grief or course. That is providing Chris & Kim let me in now I don't own a Z :scare:

Yeah Tarmac posted it up on Facebook, it was about S2000s, so ripped it off!

Didn't spot all that soft porn on my photobucket account then?

Sad to see you have sold up (even if I did manage to get a few bargains from you ;) ). Looks like a lovely car, and its a good idea to try and save your money for a GT86. I wouldn't mind one myself and getting a turbo kit for it :)

With the way you've been selling parts this doesn't come as a surprise, good luck with the gt86 fund and hope you stick around. I've just had a gt86 brochure come through today....
