Hey guys,

 

I'm in the process of trying to pick the best Z for my money and i'm struggling to decide which of the two I should go for.

 

So far as I see it like this:

 

GT4s Pros: cheaper tax, limited edition,high resale value, more power than standard model.

Cons: Not as fast as 313.

313 Pros: Faster, newer, redesigned engine slightly better.

Cons: Expensive tax, about £1k more.

 

Can I get some opinions as to which of the two you would choose and why please?

Both good in different ways

I'd keep an open mind to either as overall condition and mileage would be IMO a more important factor,

You will know when you find the right one

Go for a 313, the engines worth it. Also I wouldn't worry too much about resale value, Zeds are not exactly expensive for what they are. They shouldn't be bought as an investment IMO :). (personally I hate the GT4 wheels..). Go for a 313, the extra facial tweeks make a difference to the looks and so does the bonnet bulge lol Tax... you shouldn't be worrying about it on a 23mpg-ish car lol

 

EDIT - Having said that I went through the 276 or313 thoughts too, but I'm glad I stumped up for a 313

As above, go for the 313, tax shouldn't be an issue its only £10 a week :D

Just make sure the car has been well looked after and go for the GT spec, cruise control is well worth it on longer trips.

As Lexx said really you should see both in person and drive both to see what suits you best.

 

My heart says 313 over the GT4 if you can but only for the difference in interior & some minor exterior differences. Performance wise there won't be a lot of difference imo. :thumbs:

I'm more than happy with my GT4. I doubt you'd be disappointed with either

 

I'd agree with the earlier advice, test drive both and make your own mind up :)

HR all the way ..... Nothing that special about a gt4 to be honest . There are some bargain HR out there to be had , but saying that I would always go on condition and ( for me anyway ) depends what the seller is like

Its a great car and great engine.

The extra road tax is only 2 tanks of fuel and shouldnt really be an issue when buying this type of car unless you are a real tight ar8e.

Tax is £500 a year which in my opinion is worth every single penny!

The pleasure you get from driving this car is priceless!!

you mean 3 tanks :p or you could say 'double the tax every year'

Drove a HR the other day and I have to say it is quite different. Engine revs much better and feels tighter (although I think there is less torque?)

 

But I do prefer the non HR interior.
