Warped brake disc......covered by warranty?

I've got major juddering under braking. Looks like warped brake disc. These were replaced 8 mths, 10k ago and should still be under their 1 yr warranty from Mr Clutch. Anyone know if warped discs are coveted by the warranty? discs and pads look like they've still got plenty of life in them.

Did you do a bed-in procedure at all? As in multiple stops at various speeds at various pressures?

5x 50-30 light pressure

2 min run at speed, no braking

5x 70-40 med pressure

2 min run again

5x 100-50 hard as you can but no ABS

If they fitted a decent brand of disc and you have not cooked them on track then they will not be warped, and you will more than likely find that you have a DTV issue.

They said corrosion. Will get them to show me when I collect. Must say thanks to my local garage who recommended trying the warranty route....never would have thought of it myself.

No, car used daily and front brakes only affected. Although vibrations under braking were noticeably worse after it was parked at Gatwick for 2 weeks. They put it down to faulty parts. Either way, new disc and pads fitted so total result :)

I would say drive around 50 miles just normal (with a hint of caution for the initial few brakes)....eg..don't slam your brakes on and you'll be fine. Prob less but after that you should be able to clamp them on without issue

I hope this was the Pug/Civic not the Z!

It would cry at Mr Clutch ;)

Oh Adam, do you really think I'd take the zed to Mr Clutch? No of course not, it was the Pug. I've been letting the kids hone their mechanical skills on the zed. Bet you can't wait to see it
