I've used toothpaste before and a very thick woollen walking sock and it worked perfectly. I now have the Meguiars kit and it's very good.

Hmmmm, I'm still thinking the clouding is inside the headlight... I've gone through the sanding steps with the Mag kit, haven't buffed it up yet but still looks exactly the same

You haven't lived until you've smelled I mean used the Swissvax restorer.

Use a bit more elbow grease and buff it..!!!

What I would say is that, if you eventually find it is on the inside of the headlight, it's bad news. The headlight plastic inside has a UV coating on it that if you rub will come off and it will look truly terrible. I'd advise against cleaning them on the inside.

just drive in to a local body works place and they will just buff it up for you, if they can't fix it no one can :-)

This is true, if they take a machine polisher to it, it'll end up looking great.

Toothpaste. £1.50 tube of Crest toothpaste. Did the trick on my cloudy headlight covers.

Yep, I've used toothpaste as well, it does a pretty good job (stinks though!).

But I just use the rotary polisher and any polish pretty much will do.

Way too course! You need far finer, such as detailing paper at around 4000 grit. Even then you might still need to polish it after.

I use Sensodyne to clean mine as my Zed is such a sensitive biatch!

i have used t-cut then i used tooth paste and to stop the uv from the sun doing the same thing again to the lights i put (i know what you lot will say ) but i put sunscreen on and it worked a treat and will not cloud back up any more can't argue with that lol

On my old Nissan Skyline the lacquer went cloudy as hell so I had to sand the yellowy crap off and then polish them up. Looked great after!

 

With my Zed I just use Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 and that seems to have done nicely.
