Can I get MacBook Air 13" quality but for less?

Yeah Lenovo are pretty good at the moment and they do an Alu chassis one. I've got an Alienware at the moment (don't ask), it's good but not worth the full price tag. Ian, when you say "MacBook quality" what do you actually mean? The build quality?

The never ending Mac vs PC debate...I was worried given these days every one is using tablets and phones peopel would not be too bothered any more

I've been using Macs since the early 1990's way before Apple became popular. A few things have never changed though:

1) You always end up paying MORE for a similar speced Apple computer compared to a PC machine.

2) Apple will always limit the way you can use their software/hardware.

3) There is always more software avaliable on PCs compared to Macs, and usually cheaper.

4) For games Apple computers are useless.

But none of these reasons have stopped me from buying Apple products, currently have 3 Apple laptops, 2 desktops, and various iOS devices. I wish I could be happy using cheap PC stuff, but I simply perfer Apple products, there is no logicial reason and nothing will ever change my mind on the subject :surrender:

So the answer to my original question has quite clearly been no.

So I've now purchased a MacBook Air with the below specifications for £850 delivered.

Intel Core i7 @ 2Ghz with turbo charge

256 SSD Hard drive

8Gb Memory @ 1600Mhz

Graphics: Intel HD 4000

6 months warranty (Apple)

Can't wait now...... Although need to learn the "Apple" way!!

Congrats. Decent price & awesome bit of kit. You'll love it I'm sure. Won't take long to overcome the initial strange feel, and you can tell from the thread there's loads of people you can get advice from.

They did explain to you that you can never leave yeah? :teeth:
