I bought a second hand 2003 import in January and have been absolutely loving it since. I have been reading the forum for a while, great job guys by the way, and am blown away by the support and advice you all provide. I will post some pictures soon, but for now I'm feeling the Zeditus taking hold and quite keen to make some mods. I have a couple of things that maybe someone can help me with, not sure if this is the right place, so apologies if I should post these elsewhere, but here goes... 1. Clutch - my clutch is starting to feel really heavy now, it is actually hurting my knee! I took the Zed to my local Nissan dealer and without looking at it they said it needed a replacement clutch and possibly fly wheel. They quoted the following: Part No: 30100CD019 DISC ASSY CLUTCH £139.21 Part No: 30210CD020 COVER ASSY-CLUT £186.82 Part No: 3050269F10 BEARING-CLUTCH £52.51 Labour Total: £374.22 Parts Total: £378.54 Incl Price: £752.76 Plus an extra £1000 if the Fly Wheel needs replacing! I thought this sounded a lot, but obviously want the job doing properly if it is required? Is there anybody fairly close by (West Midlands) that could provide a more competitive price? 2. Engine limiter - As my lovely Zed is an import it has the engine limited, I'm keen to remove this and understand it much be worth having the engine remapped and maybe an uprev. Who does everyone recommend and would anybody like to give me a quote, again close to West Midlands would be helpful! Sorry to start straight away with questions and apologies if this is in the wrong place, but I would really appreciate it if anyone could offer some advice on these. samsniss350z Posted August 9, 2013 Share Posted August 9, 2013 to the forum and ownership of your ZED. If I were to mention the word Colliers to you does that tie in with the figures you were quoted? You'll find that there are very few owners on this forum who trust Nissan dealers with their cars, this is for a number of reasons but price being the main one . Happy motoring.
