How to tell if car has previously been re-mapped?

Hi Guy's

How would i know if car has previously been re-mapped?

Car has filter kit and exhaust fitted, did have plenum spacer but it has been removed, i'm in the process of fitting one back on.

I'll also be fitting Berk hfc's.

Then get it re-mapped, but just wondered how i would tell if it may have already been done?

My JDM does go up to 155, which makes me wonder if its mapped as it should be 112 limited?

If it's been upreved it may have multiple maps, can't remember how to switch though, something to do with the cruise control button so that might let you know.

UpRev let's you go beyond 155mph, not just up to

I pulled off the gas at 150, so I wouldn't know.

Its usually hidden behind the dash, atleast thats where I found it on the Skyline & the Supra

Same here 165 on the speedo when I bottled it.

165 on the speedo seems to be a re-occurring theme. GPS tracked max speed at 152 though.

Just a quick question, iv just got a 04 350z I took it up to 160mph on a GPS and it felt like she could go a fair bit quicker. . .

 

What should it do as standard?

 

I'm wondering if its been played with in the past.

I think it's geared to around 186mph. A non FI car wouldn't get near that though, unless you had a bonkers NA build.
