Is it worth £20k..??

Any muppet with £20k could buy a Zed and make it amazing looking, these guys failed miserably. I'm still gonna call bullshit on the 340 brake no matter what anyone says. Cosworth Plenum possibly loses power on NA cars and it doesn't have a stock airbox which also means it's losing a couple of ponies.

Im sorry, I dont often do this but Im shocked by what I have just read ........

As an Import I am guessing its one of the tweaked ones.

Brooklands350 has a JDM white Veilside import.

As far as we can see nothing has been visably done to it.

It even has the 112mph speed limiter on it.

Yet it will out pull a HR uprev without much effort and it's auto.

So much goes on in Japan that we can only guess about.

Plus it wont go on a rolling road and would guess it needs a set up like Abbey have got for Dyno purposes

Right, so they have mysterious and invisible parts in Japan that we cant get here do they? As far as Im aware there is nothing other than a remap that will see any kind of gains, certainly not any parts that you cant see. The only major dynamic differences between the JDM cars and UK is the fuelling map and a few geometry tweaks, there certainly isnt any invisible box of tricks available to put another 40hp on a car and theres nothing on a JDM that isnt on a UKDM that would do it either

Not quite sure why everyone seems to dislike it. It is basically a blue version like for like of the Orange one that seems to win the best Zed on here right down to the seats.

The Orange one Im guessing is Busters, which is well thought out with quality parts and beautifully executed. It doesnt have cheap ass parts and a dubious widearch kit and look like its been thrown together by Stevie Wonder, your average man on the street would be hard pushed to recognise them as the same car even if they were parked side by side.

I often miss things when I read them but I thought it was an import. Lowered veilsides cant do the normal rolling road unless you wear a crash helmet and body armour and don't want a wreck afterwards!

What, lower than this?

Ive never struggled ........ ;)

I met a mate of his the otherday whilst at his Gararge who owns a 360 Modena.

He went to the ring with him last year and said that he had to go flat out at times and could not shake Chris off.

So what? I went past a 430 on a trackday a while back, it doesnt mean my car is faster though, just means the performance is more accessible (IMO at least).

Im sorry, but people read this board for information and by my reckoning youve given totally inaccurate information about import cars, insulted Buster and his car, then given more dodgy info about widearches and rolling roads and finally a poor example of gauging a cars pace on a trackday. Its not a biggie on its own but Ive seen people pick up information like this, start spreading it about and before you know it people are telling you that you are wrong about your own car.

The only thing I would say is I think Peter was talking about madmarkys orange VS, not busters :)

Yes I was and all he has done is slate me yet get his own responce wrong.

If your going to have a public hanging then at least he should make an effort to get the facts right.

All ready spoke to buster and as for mad markkys orange Zed I thing its awsome as I told him at

Japfest.

Thanks KyleR

@*!#, I forgot all about this, I PM'd the guy on ebay when Will first posted this:-

Dear grewalj0,

do you have dyno print outs to substantiate the 340 hp?

Unfortunately no, but with engine mods to date workshop has estimated in the region of a 10/12% gain on stock.

You do the maths!!! :surrender:

So which car is it then? The best looking orange one on here is Busters, the only widearch one is Markys and youre saying its neither of them? Either way the blue thing is still a poor imitation of a decent looking car, that what I was saying.

Was the rest of my response right then??

OK lets put this to bed.

Chris is a quiet guy and won't respond.

he has a very low wide arch veilside jap car that apparently came from a guy in Japan who plays with the engine.

I cant answer any more than that.

The race with the 360 was not on the ring which I gave the impression off and was infact the autobhan (Please excuse my spelling)

Both of the cars have CCTV and were using bluetooth and I am sure if you pop down he will show you the footage.

Top speed no chance as Chris still has not got the limiter off which I think is 112 mph which is all he could get on the German road.

You can quite clearly here the 360 guy saying "Fek me I am working my arse off up to 90 to keep up.

I have been to 3 rolling roads with Chris and he just cant seem to get on them.

I am sure he will be very happy if you could arrange a RR with your contacts and far superior knowledge over I on JDM Zeds as I have none.

I said raise it up on the coilovers but it has none?

He did come along to the Abbey RR day but Mark had fitted big metal safety boxes over his hub spiner as i call it and the car wheel arches were to wide and Dip (BBK) was standing right beside him.

Maybe thats why the covers were on to stop Dip sticking his fingers in the shiney spinning bits.:)

Chris ownes a garage called Brooklands kent a Ferrari Porsche specialist.

He has been a grease monkey all his life, and also looks after and race tunes Porsches, for customers and I have had some good days out at Brands over the last few months watchin him.

Everything I have said is based on what I have witnessed myself with the exception of what is in the engine.

All I can say is he has another JDM black Nismo for sale and we went out in them both and all I saw was his arse as he pulled away from me.

Incidently both cars have auto boxes.

When this post was put up I thought I was being helpful by giving good info.

Obviously my wording could have been better.

Anyway hopefully this has cleared any missunderstanding and I really cannot answer questions other than what I have seen.

Anyone wanting to talk to Chris can do so at the H4H Skyline Ralley on Sunday coming at Brighton race course starting at 17:00 hrs.

It is free and all are invited.

All I ask is that you put some coin in the orange buckets please.

We will also be at brighton on 29th June at the Brighton Cruise part 4.

details on facebook.

last month there ended up about 450-500 Jap cars and a fantastic time had by all.

And thats what it's all about. "Having fun and enjoying yourself" Not throwing handbags at each other.
