a.rowley Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 hey guys just bought a 350z 313 57 plate with FSH in midnight blue had it a week now and have just noticed when i release the clutch in neutral a strange noise appears sometimes . hard to explain the noise just a very slight change in tone from engine like something is rubbing on something. any advise?? thanks Quote
wizurd Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 welcome. there's more experienced people on the forum that'll be able to help with your question but in my case I get the same kind of noise when the clutch is released. pressing the clutch down seems to stop the slightly rattly noise. I'm sure I've read on the forum that it's common and not a problem. but like I said wait till someone more experienced comes along car isn't slipping in gears or anything? Quote
Will370z Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 (edited) Sounds perfectly normal to me, congrats on the purchase. Edited May 12, 2013 by Will370z Quote

daveparkin Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 +2, the gearboxes are always a little rumbly in neutral and congrats on the purchase, you won't regret it! Quote
Toon Chris Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Hi, nice purchase and nice colour. Sound like the normal rumble. Wait until you get the modification bug and fit an fit an aftermarket clutch with fixed flywheel, the rumble becomes a rattle and although it sounds worrying it really isn't the sign of anything wrong. bronzee Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 Welcome to the forum, possible your midnight blue has forum history, given there aren't that many in that colour. Quote
