Waiting for it to get dark so I can take some photos Edited August 4, 2013 by longsh07 Quote
longsh07 Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Really happy with the end results. The pictures do not do them justice! Quote
cs2000 Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Look ace! I fixed mine over the weekend. As I said in post 1, my prototype models were wired differently, this compromised the waterproof-ness of the unit and so the LED's failed after a few weeks, plus the solder joints were nowhere near as good and there was too much stress on the joints. I now have a set fitted wired the same as you guys now that orders have tailed off I actually had time to fix mine! haha Quote
Hooch Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 Sorry to hijack the thread but it is relevant, whats the easiest way to fit the reflectors, bumper off or on? If on hows best to get access, through the wheel guard? Quote
Dannyg Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 U need the bumper off other wise u won't be able to fit/refit the reflectors, especially on the drivers side as the washer bottles in the way, I managed mine going throughout the wheel arch, didn't have to take my wheels off just turned them in, was fairly easy to do Quote
cs2000 Posted August 6, 2013 Author Posted August 6, 2013 Same. Ive managed it 3 times now with removing the 6 plastic clips ontop of the bumper, remove the 3 screws in each where arch and then 2 screws on either side underneath the bumper, this allows you to flex the bumper enough to unscrew the reflectors. Adrian@TORQEN Posted August 11, 2013 Posted August 11, 2013 How about this mod? http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-do-yourself/6101-diy-headlight-leds-blackout.html Quote
cs2000 Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Haha, having done that a couple of times on my Celica, I NEVER want to do it again. The end result was great, but the hassle isn't worth it, plus I could never get one of the lights sealed again properly. Quote
-H- Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 Could I order a set of these in black please? Quote
cs2000 Posted August 13, 2013 Author Posted August 13, 2013 Of course, il get the reflectors ordered first thing tomorrow Quote
RDON Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 are you planning to do these for the facelift reflectors? Quote
cs2000 Posted August 14, 2013 Author Posted August 14, 2013 Possibly at some point. I couldn't find a supplier of the reflector units that were priced well. As in, less than £20.00. Cheapest I could find was about £45. Quote
Munton87 Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 Could I order some of these silver ones please ???? Quote
cs2000 Posted August 16, 2013 Author Posted August 16, 2013 Not a problem mate, il add you to the list and order the parts, PM incoming too. Quote
