The Bounty Bar Kid Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 So today I took the oppourtunity to clean/detail my car. Here's what I did... 1- Use megs Hyper wash and Snow foam lance to get rid of big bits of dirt. 2- Clean wheels with Megs Hot Rims All wheel & tyre cleaner using the following brushes: -Megs Ultra Safe wheel brush (for the inside of the alloy wheels) -Megs Versa-angle wheel face brush (for the facia of the alloy wheels) -Autoglym wheel detailing brush (for the detailed bits) 3- Clean car with Megs Ultimate Wash & Wax using the two bucket method and the Megs Super Thick Microfibre Wash Mitt 4- Rinse car and dry with Megs Water Magnet Drying Towel 5- Use Megs Clay bar with Megs Quick Detailer spray, for a smooth mirror like surface. 6- Polish car using the Megs DA Orbiter attached to the Megs DA Microfibre Cutting disc 6 using Megs DA Microfibre Correction Compound 7- Rinse car and dry with Megs Water Drying Towel 8- Wax car using Megs DA Orbiter attached to the Megs Foam Finishing pad using Megs Ultimate Wax. 9- Use Megs Endurance High Gloss Tyre Gel with Megs Tyre Dressing Applicator Pad. 10- Protect alloy wheels with Poorboy's Wheel Sealant. 11- Sit down for a bit, admire car. 12- Take photos, go inside for some lunch and then write up for forum. 1 Quote
The Bounty Bar Kid Posted April 18, 2013 Author Posted April 18, 2013 I recently purchased Dodo Juice Purple Haze Pro, but I'll use that sometime next week to add some more layers of was ontop of the Megs Ultimate Wax. Just put that on for the moment as the it was easier with the sun being out at the time of waxing. Quote

Adrian@TORQEN Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 So that's the reason you were so quiet today! Well, I only use this, every now and then, one of the advantages of having the car vinyl wrapped! This lasts me for about two years Quote
ioneabee Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 How do you get the endurance gel to look matt - every time i do it, it comes out shiny Quote

ioneabee Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 the trouble with the eucalyptus one is that you will get two bears clinging to it Quote
spursmaddave Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 And now the rain You're so mean! And black shows rain/dust spots so well Quote
ioneabee Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 it does indeed - I have a silver CR-V and that shows nothing after 3 months of not being washed Quote
Humpy Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Indeed black shows up everything and I for one will be detailing my Zed a week before Wales. Not sure why im bothering because will be caked after the journey up there Quote
downhuman Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Nice work mate. What is the swirling like on yours? Need to break out the rotary on mine as I've still not shifted all of mine :S Quote
jumping350 Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 (edited) That is pretty epic , car looks great, do you really have to do all that in that order? That's why mine looks like its always been driven through a forest, what's the 2 bucket method? Is it like my method, chuck a bucket of water over it smear the dirt everywhere chuck another bucket of water over, give up and go inside Edited April 18, 2013 by jumping350 Quote
stuarty Posted April 18, 2013 Posted April 18, 2013 Looks great, cant beat a black or gunmetal 313! Quote
