WhackyWill Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hi All. I'm sure this subject is on here somewhere, but I cannot find it. I got a 06 Zed GT with a standard Bose System in it, would like to be able to play my IPod and my music on my iPhone through the system, How..?? Thanks in antisipation.. Will. :surrender: Quote
Ekona Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Bin it and buy something better. Or the hack, although I've yet to hear the sound quality on that. First to say 'tape adaptor' or 'FM transmitter' gets a boot in the botty. Quote

D8NMT Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 I use a wired fm modulator with my standard stereo which I'm really pleased with. I did a fitting guide too, see here : http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/65697-wired-fm-modulator-fitting-mini-guide/ Quote
Dannyg Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Get an fm transmitter.. I got one in mine works spot on, charges my iPod too Quote

I got a tape adapter.... It was crap so I chopped the cable off, got brave and did the hack. The sound is perfect with iPod hack Defo recommend - just follow the guide, it's not too hard. Quote

Then you can say that as you have the experience to back it up. Better tape adapters also give better sound. Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I never had a tape adapter, fm transmitter or did the ipod hack but I know they will all sound $hite because you still have to play it through the Bose Quote

The Chubby Ninja Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I done the hack last nyt and it sounds perfect. Sorted the left speaker problem too and im very pleased with the results Quote
rabbitstew Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Another vote for the hack from me. I wouldnt use the ipod lead tho, id use a normal 3.5mm lead which would then give you the flexibility to use any mp3 player or phone on it. I had no problems doing the hack on mine, worked a treat and the sound quality was good enough for me. Quote
coldel Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I just got 100 odd of my favourite songs across 6 playlists and burned them to CDs :-) Quote
The Chubby Ninja Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 My cd player sounds like a stuttering fool lol Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 My cd player sounds like a stuttering fool lol Thats shhhhh shhhh shhhhh shhhhh shhhh Really bad Quote
mc Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 . Better tape adapters also give better sound. I got a Sony tape adapter, the sound is decent enough, although the whirring of the cassette can be slightly annoying at times. Quote
Husky Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 (edited) The worst part of the "Bose" is the CD player, the "hack" bypasses this and is far better quality audio with much increased volume before clipping. Edited January 30, 2013 by Husky Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 BOTTY BOOTING WARNING Calm down dear it's only an internet forum 1 Quote
