funkythumb42 Posted November 21, 2012 Share Posted November 21, 2012 Just picked up this 53reg Silver GT with 71k on the clock...well had it for a couple of weeks now..... Loving the car so far but have read some horror stories about gearbox issues which I never picked up on before buying the car and did not notice when I went out in the car. All the gears are fine and slot in nicely apart from high revs going to 5th / 6th gear especially if block changing. It goes in gear fine but there is a little crunching noise. Guess this is going to be synchros but may try the old fluid change first to see if it improves things. Can anybody recommend any good specialists in the North East for servicing and such like? Also the bose hu skips, not to bothered about that as it will be getting ripped out soon for something with proper ipod intergration.
