I've tried to search for any info on mileage for the 350z.

How many miles does your car currently have?

And what is considered too much for the VQ35.

MY06 with 44,000 on the clock

SMD is on holiday but I'm sure he won't mind me telling you his "old girl" has done 100k plus, 54 plate I think

If you look at contamporary engines of the same type and build quality I think we could be seeing even more miles than some seem to expect out of the engines at least. The Toyota V8s in the Lexus LS barges have gone beyond 400k without a rebuild or anything

Absolutely. Discounting heavily modified cars and assuming regular maintenance 200k should be fine on most modern understressed engines.

 

The rest of the car will be worth peanuts by then and most of the other moving parts will be shot but engine wise it should not be am issue.

EDIT: - Worth mentioning my previous engine was fine it just had me looking after it and I forgot to check the oil

If you read the forums in the US, there are a number of 350's over there with 200k miles plus on the odometre.
