So how do I work out the BHP at the wheel?

I would actually add 35/40 bh to the hub figure to get an estimated flywheel figure , but as people have said on here getting a flywheel figure is always a guess as the only way to get a proper flywheel figure is to take the engine out and dyno it on a engine dyno;

Mark,

If a zed had 700bhp at the hubs, would we still add 35/40bhp or would it be more? (i.e. 10%).

What would make it lose more than 35/40HP? If the drive train is the same then the losses would be the same as the it requires the same force to move it. All this talk of percentages is madness. However, you could lose more in real terms if you had a beefed up drive train that zapped more power ;)

So just how many Horses are at the steering wheel then?

And will running 050A's make any difference in the wet!

:lol:

with the zed seats I think you'll struggle to get more than one horse behind the steering wheel, as for the reo50's they won't make a difference as the horse can't turn the ignition key.

Maybe we could try some of those Prancing Horses like Ferrari use!

I've seen at least one horse behind the wheel of a Zed!
