AK350Z Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 We've had a bit up on the hills in the last week, but this is the first down on the lowlands. Think the Punto might have to come out for a play Quote
AK350Z Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 Pffts that's nowt I'm aware how much other folk have had But were are only a couple of miles from the coast here. Might go and have a walk up a hill now to get in the christmas spirit Quote
Chris`I Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Panda time surely? Go see what its like up Scarfell Quote
coldel Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Got a bit of sleet and snowflakes here in zone 2 london - stopped after about 5 mins - no doubt the rail network will grind to a standstill and face hours of delays because of this... Quote
rabbitstew Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Little bit of snow around Cambridge atm. Seems pot luck as to where in this region you are, some are getting rain, others snow, others sleet. Its not settling, so dont expect many problems. Funnily enough the roads in to Cambridge today were the quietest they have been for months! Quote
Beavis Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Only 2 months late then, the forcasters are getting closer! Quote
rtbiscuit Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 just started a small flurry, but nothing major yet and nothing that will settle. Quote
Chris`I Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 We had roughly 5mm of snow on the Alfa this morning. Much nicer to clear than the frost Quote

AK350Z Posted December 16, 2011 Author Posted December 16, 2011 I ventured out into the wilds for a wee walk up Wasdale to the stretcher box up at Styhead Tarn. Wind must have been NE as there was loads of cloud backing up on the east side but Wasdale itself was sunny. Sorry Chris, Fran took the Pandamonium to work this morning, so I was left with the Punto. It still has winters on, so it was fine for all the slush on the roads. Temps are just above 0 still, so it is melting fast lower down now. Took some piccies though! Quote
Chris`I Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 Pff you could get the Zed up there Mr AK One day we'll move up there with you and I can come out to play on days like these Quote
Stew Posted December 16, 2011 Posted December 16, 2011 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/150718972133 Looks just like my old one! Same colour, 5 door k series. Yours is higher spec though - mine had cloth! It was AWESOME in the snow and I even played offroad with mine, lacked torque but was perfectly usable in the rough stuff. No snow here but very cold. Why we've missed out I've no idea, we are normally one of the first low lying places! Quote
