haha thanks guys, only info I have is that it was imported in 2006 and i think I'm the third owner since then (need to double check) The engine numebr is a JDM one (Z33...) and it comes up on insurance, V5 and hpi as an import so guessing it was brought over by a dealer for someone with very deep pockets when UK ones were hard to get? Either way is full UK spec and they're all designed the same anyway i know JDM ones are cheaper (I think because of lower spec, which this doesn't have) hence the lower price.

guessing from Japan? Has main delaer handbook etc so looks like the changed absolutely everything to UK GT spec. Only way to tell it's an import is the VIN number and V5.

Not sure, it has the standard Nissan Alarm and immobilisor if that's Cat 1?

I liked mine (K1) with the standard cats in, sounded quite evil! with decats and Y pipe though it was unbearable and damaging as above! (with the baffles in! Out was even worse)

If you're half way through and swapping they can pretty much charge what they want as you can take it or leave it! get a few different quotes and try the tips above etc. If your current company are taking the pee might even be cheaper to get a full year somewhere else??

I've had 4 SX's (S13's, 14, 14a) and still prefer the Zed. Don't miss the turbo rush as much as I thought and Zed has plenty of power and torque for normal driving! Nicer place to be in as well and feels a lot newer and looks a lot better. Petrol not much worse either. Do it!
