Jimmy P Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Hi guys, You may recall me plaguing you for information over the last couple of weeks, so you'll be please to hear that it paid off and I finally found the beauty I was looking for! It is, 2004 UK spec, 28,000 miles (with main dealer history to back it up!), gunmetal grey, rays alloys, birdview satnav (urgh...), cloth interior and some kind of aftermarket exhaust that sounds great and looks beautiful but I have not idea what the make is! No marks inside or out, looks more like a 7 month old car than 7 years so I'm absolutely chuffed. Also, someone has fitted a K & N box to it, leave it in or rip it out? Pics to follow just as soon as there's a day nice enough to warrant giving it a polish! Thanks again for all your help, knowing what to look for really helped me make an informed decision. MITZ@CougarStore Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Congratulations on the purchase, Jimmy... Quote
Zugara Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Well done Sure you will get the Mod bug soon.... Quote
Lexx Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 If you like the sound, leave the K&N on. If you plan on modifying and remapping the car, get an OEM 06+ airbox on instead. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 i'd leave the typhoon in, but possibly modify it to take a different filter. Quote
Jimmy P Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Definitely feeling the mod bug, been on the phone to Abbey Motorsport already and investigating places that can 'leather up' the interior! Loving the car so far, although treating it with the respect that 300hp through the rear wheels deserves in this shitty wet weather lol. Quote
Sam Mcgoo Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Congrats on the new toy Get some pics up asap. Quote
Boycey Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Welcome, It will put a smile on your face everyday. As said, be weary of that right foot in this weather Quote
Jimmy P Posted November 27, 2011 Author Posted November 27, 2011 I know there are several stickies on the subject, but does anyone know of a way to upload photos without a photobucket account? Got a couple of (fairly crap!) photos to put up of the new Zed! Quote
bronzee Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Best to use Photobucket or another like that. Once uploaded to Photobucket, roll over the drop down on the desired image, then click on the IMG Code for the net, this will copy it automatically, then control v to paste it into your thread. Quote
Jimmy P Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Photobucket it is then! Thanks Bronzee Quote
ds2000 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Welcome aboard! I'm sure you'll love her! Quote
Jimmy P Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 Thanks ds, I already do! had it for a week but been waiting for some decent weather to give her a good polishing but seeing as it's been relentlessly gloomy and crap I thought I might as well stick some pre-polishing pictures up!
