Hiya

Hopefully going to be a z owner very soon ( within 3 weeks)

I live in Northern Ireland and currently looking for a good car

there are soo many different models etc its hard to get your head round

so far ive narrowed it down to these 3

http://cars.donedeal.co.uk/for-sale/cars/2395647

if anyone could help with the specs of these models i would appreciate it

oh - how do i know what lsd if any a car has ? is there a way to tell ?

The first and third ones are imports not that there is a problem with that. They are harder to work the spec out as there are a lot of optional extras available. The seeking one is a GT spec UK car and brembo brakes are standard on the UK car btw. :)

are the brembos much of an improvement over the standard brakes ?

a friend told me brembos would be necessary.

my ideal car -

gunmetal grey

black leather

cruise control

lsd

black alloys

40 - 60k miles with fsh

£6-8k

the gunmetal grey i linked to above is actually a european import , branded a fairladyz if that sounds right ?

Sorry Martin but I don't see any cruise control

thanks for all the welcomes :)

ive spent the last 12 years dabbling with supercharged and turbo mx5's.

my current roadster is a 1998 200bhp supercharged 1.8 with 6 speed box , but its being sold once i get my Z

with the mazdas its easy to tell what spec the car is by looking at a few pics , but these cars is a new one for me.

Welcome to the forum

Think you might have just upset Hugh about his beloved babies (wheels). :scare:

Never mind, he has sold them and the car for an AM, but I think he still lusts after a ZED really ;)

Welcome to the forum. Keep an eye on the for sales on here too. :)

They are a bit. Moreso if you run uprated fluid, pads and rotors, which of course you can do with the non-brembo's and still get some reasonable stopping. :drive1

well , after a busy weekend of viewing , test driving and haggling , i think i have found my Zed

http://i51.tinypic.com/28b8n0k.jpg

its the one i found on gumtree

its actually a jap import , brembo brakes , 6 speed , 43000 kms , brembos , ginger heated electric seats , bose audio, parrot bluetooth, some sort of phone adapter in the rear cubby box, subwoofer behind drivers seat, everything else is relatively standard - from what i can tell its the ST model but with no cruise control, it has VDC aswell

bad points

- clutch slave cylinder needs replacing

- drivers window motor is stuffed

- passenger side dash cupholder wont stay in

- dte / average mpg computer thing is all in kms

- front pads are on the lowish side

- tiny trolley ding on drivers door

- tiny bit of kerbing on front drivers wheel

- gearknob is a bit tatty

good points

- hes going to mot it for me

- sort the electric window and clutch slave

- he put 6 months tax on it this morning

the guy selling it seems really quite genuine and is actually a really nice guy.

it will be mine :D , hopefully collect it once the private plate is transferred off it.

more pics B)
