rothers2901 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 The rear strut brace cover was looking a bit sad, so out wit the tools and paint. I wont write a guide because there is already a very good on listed. Just a few pics taken throughout the proceedure. Quote
coldel Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Very nice! Thats next on my hit list of refurbs - I think I might go satin black brace and keep the silver Z though. Quote
Jeff G Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Liking your work Might need to try this myself. Quote
rothers2901 Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 Very nice! I think I might go satin black brace and keep the silver Z though. Satin with a Silver Z that would work nicely. Quote

SteveW Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Looking good mate I did mine in metallic black and kept the Z chrome. Much prefer this to the previous guise of silver! Matches my Kuro far better! Quote
Humpy Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Great job indeed and thinking this maybe my next thing to try myself. Looks very Quote

Parsnip Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 Will add mine to the mix (crap quality phone photo alert): Black flake metallic on the plastic and gunmetal on the Z + clearcoat - all from halfords rattle cans. Was a surprisingly easy job - sanding the Z down was a bit of a mare and I did get a bollocking for (ever so slight) overspray onto the kitchen table, but other than that, job was a good un! Only problem with it is that even with a couple of coats of clearcoat, it seems like it will scratch fairly easily, nothing yet though - even using the Z as a removals van and jamming a set of skis in there Quote
rothers2901 Posted February 26, 2012 Author Posted February 26, 2012 Well worth the trouble imo, Quote
