CaptainSensible Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Anyone got any hot tips for this? I know next to nothing about horse racing but always like a flutter, and especially enjoying winning money. Quote
TomS Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 No tips but I did pick "Chief Dan George" and "In Compliance" at the work sweepstake. Most likely a pair of 3 legged donkeys but worth a punt for couple of quid! The National always comes down to on the day, the favourite always seems to get clobbered at a jump. Quote
rabbitstew Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I got "in compliance" also in the work sweepstake. Will-hill was showing odds of 51-1 on it yesterday, so its hardly a favourite. I used to do a lot of betting on the horses and the favourite only wins 25% of the time, so your better off lay betting against what ever the favourite is. Quote
martinmac Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I just had my faith restored in Peter Bowen in the Topham. Tomorrows racing is now free. Quote
geoff-r Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 I have bet before and never won. So any hot tips? Quote
Jed Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Ide go for V-Neck, its meant to be an excellent Jumper ! Quote
choptop Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Punt on an outsider at 50:1. At least then if you do win something it will be a good return Quote
ARphotographs Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 i've been given a tip for "silver by nature" so chucked a few quid at it. Quote
Beavis Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 i've been given a tip for "silver by nature" so chucked a few quid at it. +1 Would have a good chance but i am a bit worried about the drying conditions. Bit of a mud lover But still backing it Quote
Ricey Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Silver by nature was tipped by a bloke in work who knows his onions. Quote
Cragus Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 Majestic Concorde .....top Irish trainer and he don't come over here for nothing! 28/1 as it stands. Quote
martinmac Posted April 9, 2011 Posted April 9, 2011 I would love to see Chief Dan George win for our local trainer. She won at Cheltenham last year but hasnt had much luck since and has been under the weather. Skippers Brig could be worth a few quid as a late entry but is less than consistent. My money is going on Big Fella Thanks as I am a fan of the jockey. Quote
