Fuel tank capacity

just filled up. first time the lights come on for me, had about 30 mile left according to the fuel comp. 80L tank? i could only get 66L in before the fuel pump clicked. 60L is alot dont get me wrong, especially at 1.349 a litre, but 80L? were does that come from. and a quick question here that i know has been covered over and over but Vpower is the closest to me, momentum99 not to far away aswsell as the bt ultimate. what would you go for given the choice. i was given the car with a full tank of momentum. and this is now my 2nd tank of Vpower, only because of convienience.

80l is from full to empty.

 

If the trip computer was saying 30m still left then you could probably have done about another 100 miles before empty. And then you could have got your full 80l in

the DTE plays very safe, most i ever filled up with was 77 litres, but after getting over 70 miles after the DTE went to 0 the arse clenching got too much and i had to fill up.

good to know though. i want to get 300+ per tank especially at £90 a fill! just managed 290 with the DTE at 30.

I managed to go from Swansea to Glasgow with the light just coming on. 410 miles. 300 should be easy...

410! can you remember how many miles you did with the light on, or when the DTE read 0? what fuel was that with?

I did 440 miles once going from Newquay to west Cumbria. Was running on fumes though I think.

I did the 'Ring to my house on one tank, which is about 430 miles. I thought that was quite good going.

I regularly get over 400 miles to a tank. My dte readings are way out - got a scangauge fitted that is far more accurate and shows the car's computer is about 25% out. Always about 150 miles left in the tank when the dte is reading 0. I've not run out yet, and only ever managed to put about 72 litres in.

 

I wouldn't recommend running on fumes though as any crud in the bottom of the tank will get sucked through.

Made it from the Wales drives to my house outside Aberdeen (via Stans house in Manchester traffic) on one tank. The light only came on 3 miles from my house. That was sitting at just under 80 (indicated) with the cruise on.

 

Even running about I get more than 300 miles.

My last Zed - a JDM ST seemed to have a much smaller capacity tank than the present UK spec GT. Does anyone know if the JDM tank is smaller?

Uk is 80 litre's, JDM tend to have a 70 litre tank, although one of the JDM spec levels has a 80 litre tank apparently.

This morning i put in 69 litres or V power due to my dte flashing 27 miles left, and this cost me £94 (Nottingham). God knows how much 80 litres would cost me! Uk model 08 plate.

Mine is way out too, the light had just come on today, DTE was 57 miles and I was able to put in only 56.97 litres, I'm going to see how much I get in when the DTE is 0 next time.
