spursmaddave Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Can't it at least have the turbo diamond cut wheels? I'm not a wheel whore..... unlike some Needs some interior CF though Quote
RisingPower Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I'm not a wheel whore..... unlike some Needs some interior CF though I like shiny things You carbon fibre hoe IMHO the only materials in porsches should be alcantara and leather, after being in a track prepped gt3 Why is it these wheels pop up on pretty much any car? http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/2297831.htm For a cayman, I wouldn't mind this one (note the wheels ): http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/2293556.htm Quote
rtbiscuit Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 captain; i love the bmw z4m coupe; something about its styling i think is stunning; same with the cayman. its a love hate thing; some people like me love that kind of design; others hate it. Quote
Sam Mcgoo Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 As has been said it depends on your budget. Out of the 3 you suggested I'd go with the Cayman. However, I'd be more tempted with http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2196166.htm or for something along the same lines with a twist: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2298509.htm Quote
DoogyRev Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 One of these might not be to far off the mark price wise when you get round to buying http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2178993.htm Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Very nice Jim, but I want something I can still use everyday not a weekend plaything... The Cayman S 3.4 is comparable to the Zed in day to say running, and probably not too much more on maintenance with an Independent Garage... The old Porsche's are nice too but I don't want to get into the semi-classic car field I just want an upgrade on the Zed that I can use everyday if the mood takes me, similar or better performance / noise etc. Doesn't have to have 4 seats as it won't be my only car. Not bothered about badges and marques, if I like it then I don't give a stuff what anyone else thinks At the end of the day if it happens it happens, if not I my Zed anyway Quote

Not my cup of tea at all but obviously a lot of work gone into both and if that's floats your boat great Quote
Stew Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 The 993 turbo pics are taken in Polished Bliss studio (before the upgrade!) I really like the 993. Widebodied for me please. Not into bodykitted beasts though. Quote
RisingPower Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I just want an upgrade on the Zed that I can use everyday if the mood takes me, similar or better performance / noise etc. From my perspective, porsches are a bit muted, but that'll suit you mate, bwahaha I don't however like those wide arch kits, imho if they don't blend it looks like stuck on tat. However, if you don't like this dave, I give up http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2300458.htm Quote
RisingPower Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I thought it was just a question of falling in and out at the right angle? Is that not an art form????? Parkour? Quote
Stew Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 997s galore at 30 - 35k. They are 2004/2005 models with varying specs and mileages. A GOOD 996 Turbo can be had for less than 30k too. Quote

The one I was looking at http://www.portlandautos.co.uk/vehicles/view/vrm/yx06gza/porsche-911--2006 low mileage 06 at around £35K he's got a nice Blade 350Z in too ... maybe suit someone on here (if a little overpriced) Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 3, 2011 Author Posted January 3, 2011 Rising Power & AttakZ both nice cars both have 4 seats Quote
Ekona Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Ever tried sitting in the back of a 911? Trust me, they really ain't four seaters I've pulled the rear seats out of mine already, I've no kids so no use for them at all and would rather have the storage space. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 i've seen the back of his car; those back seats are designed specifically for paraplegics, there is no space what so ever. Quote
ATTAK Z Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 i've seen the back of his car; those back seats are designed specifically for paraplegics, there is no space what so ever. same on mine ... ideally you need to be < 5 years old or have two lower limbs missing to sit in the back comfortably Quote
RisingPower Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Rising Power & AttakZ both nice cars both have 4 seats Urr, it's a - they have 4 seats? Hmm.... Quote

Ekona Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 But if you don't need a 4-seater, then surely it's not a issue? Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 But if you don't need a 4-seater, then surely it's not a issue? Yes but I also don't have a dog but I won't be considering an estate... I would rather have a proper coupe than one that has had rear seats squeezed in... Quote
Ekona Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Well it seems a daft reason to not want one of the most iconic sports cars in the world, but it's your call. Quote
spursmaddave Posted January 4, 2011 Author Posted January 4, 2011 Well it seems a daft reason to not want one of the most iconic sports cars in the world, but it's your call. Well just because you have one doesn't make everyone that doesn't want one daft either Quote
Ekona Posted January 4, 2011 Posted January 4, 2011 Of course it doesn't, but I can think of half a dozen other reasons not to want one other than the fact it's got a couple of removable seats Quote
