The memory card shows up in snow OSX 10.6 as a drive and quick time plays the AVI's, i haven't managed to get it working as a webcam tho.

Not that there's much point, as one's built in?

I was thinking of making a bracket that would fit onto the number plate towhook or for a different placement one that came out of the bonnet using one of the bolts in the engine bay...

Just got 2 in the post B)

can anyone tell me, do you need regular SD cards or SDHC which seem more widely sold now?

Preferably asap because I want to mess about with this kit!

Thanks

Cheers,

Just as a pointer it seems both work! Micro SDHC have higher capacities eg the 8gb

I went for a really nice run out and although there's a 1.2 gb file on the card it seems vlc can't open it, although I can record short clips fine.. hmmm

Quicktime player works a treat. I had trouble with VLC player playing files over 1.2gb.

we've jsut come back form Nurburgring and used them to "stealth record" the laps ;o)

Andlid post up a pic see what we can suggest. I use Velcro on the slats of the grill and works wonders. Next alternative is to get a bracket for the inside of the windscreen. One with those pads which suck to the window. Then mount camera on top of that via Velcro. I have a snooper so all I've done is mount it on top of that. Added bonus is that I can slide my snooper off to reach the camera without moving it's mounted position. Inside the car you still get to hear the engine not but then you have interior noise such as talking or music over the top.
