RAF Tornado jets join Libya operations
gazhull8474 replied to choptop's topic in Off Topic Discussion
I have a few mates on standby now for Libya and they are ground troops we may not be going in with 1000's but i bet we will stick some ground troops in. If you look at previous conflicts over the last 20 years Falklands No fly zone broken ground troops went in Bosnia No fly zone ground troops went in then UN took over Kosovo No fly zone ground troops went in Un took over Then you have Iraq and Afgan which i totally agree with as a serving soldier, fight them on there own ground rather than let them come to the UK and repeat 7/7. Yes it may do with OIL but if we dont have it then alot of things in the world will stop. -

Im celebrating mine tonight. Im in a regiment with alot of irish lads myself included and we are having drinks tonight about 300 of us in total so should be a very messy night indeed. -
Simple dont speed and if you do speed take the points and fine that comes with it. If your found excessive speeding in Belgium they want the money on the spot or take your car from you. With being in Germany i must admit no one speeds on minor roads as they know they can just jump on the autobahn and let loose if they want. And i would be lieing if i said that i have not done it myself on numerous occasions.

Been chatting with a friend who has a dodge charger and he has got alot of engine bay 'bling' on chatting where he got it from he imported it from America. Got onto the topic of Import taxes etc and he informed me that with being in the Army we dont pay it we just have to get a form and declare what we are getting. Think its about time i started to look on american sites and see what I can get as I will only pay the price they advertise. Supercharger it could be and for a good price. I will look into this and see if i can order a few of something the same and dont get stung for the import taxes. Would also like to add im based in Germany at the minute with the Army and not UK

With the tokens guys im going to have about 200 litres ready to go this month then same for March and April. If people can PM me and tell me how many they want then i can put aside that amount for them. Im afraid its going to be first come basis. Once i get the PM will explain payment probably through Paypal and then what exactly the process for the fuel tokens is hope this helps people out. As the number is limited to approx 600 litres dont mind selling the whole amount to one person but think about the other lads is the only thing i can say on this but it is first come basis. I can also speak to a few mates if the demand is massive and see if i can source more if people want some. Many thanks Gaz -

I can get both i can get super (95) and also super plus (102) so this should suit most people coming across. The price varies slightly and more than happy to put prices on here so people know im not ripping anyone off. -

Hey guys went and got myself some tokens so thought i would update you on price i bought 60 litres for 53 Euro they have gone up slightly in price. When i went and filled up this evening the price i should of paid at the pump was 88 euro so a saving of 35 Euro. As you can see guys you will save quite a bit of money using this option. This is the price for super (95) and not super plus which costs a bit more but i never notice a massive difference in engine performance or MPG. -

I know mate im gutted to tell the trutha nd the wife aint much happier either when i told her lol. Yeah no worries about the tokens im sure it will reduce the fuel costs by alot as you will have the fuel all weekend at a good rate then work out where the last garage is at the border fill up and that should get you a decent way into England after filling up. -

Guys i have just been told today that im going to Canada for 2 months April and May (cheers Army). Im still willing to get the fuel tokens for people if they require them. The way it works i can get 10 litre tokens for approx 7-8 Euro. Which i will sell on for the same price as i get them to help pople out making the long drive. The tokens can only be used in Germany and at the following garages BP,shell, esso and Aral. I will have to put my car reg on the tokens and sign all you have to do is enter the date which you fill up on and hey presto alot cheaper fuel than you will pay at the pumps. Currently the prices are about 1.45euro a litre so you can see that the more tokens you buy the greater the saving will be on fuel. I will be able to get my hands on approx 500-600 litres. Im going to get myself some tomorrow or Friday so will post up more accurate prices they do change weekly but not by a huge amount. Like i said guys im not making any money out of this and rob-hughes will back me up on this one and im sure that he can do the same for other people. I can post tokens out to people so that they have them for when they arrive in Germany they can use them straight away or i can touch base with Ron Hope this helps some people out and cuts cost for most people. -
Paul i feel for you mate just got told i was going to Canada for 2 months. Got told that today and off there in April May time. Best option would be to get everyone to park on the road and then when he gets you all in the office as a collective group voice your opinion to him he may then realise how much of a knob he is. If he doesnt go down Ricey route. Sunday magazines are always good for stuff like that have stitched mates up before as jokes off course with Garden sheds stair lift people etc etc. If all else fails lay one on his car and walk away into your new job
