Joined the Army at 16 and still loving it 14 years down the line woulnt change it for the world. Like every job you get your good days and bad days. Like i say to the lads below me when the bad out way the good then its time to leave. The army still recruit up to the age of 30 so plenty of time left if you fancy a go at it even if it is only for 4 years.

Liking the idea Martin but we all know the toe rags will just copy plates and get it another way. Bigger fines or prison sentence will sort them out i think.

Weekends are madness on the course but as previously been said we are not out to set records or race each other if people are go to closed track day. But saying that you can still get a good run round the track if you watch what cars go out for a few minutes in front of you and wait couple of minutes. As for number of days i dont mind as live in Germany already so dont have to far to travel.

Totally agree with the idea but what about folks who have not so legal number plates they could get a bag on and say it didnt show up as they typed it in lets have it away. The government will hire a company who will probably be on commission and will take anything they can to make as much money over a short period as possible. My car doesnt show up on normal DVLA or ANPR cameras as its registered through the ARmy only when you ring DVLA and speak to the armed forces desk does it show up on there records. Bit annoying when i get pulled over and see the smug look on the coppers face. But i always have the bigger smile when i prove them wrong. Cracking idea the government ha set up and hope it gets used to the full potential though and may even reduce the insurance premiums if it works ok.

Im out here now having fun on the autobahns. Other half comes out in May so keeping the car for a few years more then may get a nice tax free M3 if i can twist her arm when it comes round to it.

I dont have to sell it anymore we had a chat going to keep it for another couple of years then get something new. So pleased.

After getting married in December and the wife coming to live with me in Germany she will not drive the zed what so ever. I think i will have to get rid of the zed and get something more practical. Been looking at BMW's the 330 diesel. Has anyone had one of these or a car of similar type. Do like the Audi A5 as well.

I like to play now and again and will even admit that i have my own ball. PLayed in a few leagues in my time but now i just play for fun.

They are the exact same as my seats didn't realise they where so rare. May have to hang onto them as was going to swap them a while back. May just get mine retrimmed as they are comfortable.

I know august is a long time away but maybe starting a thread on this would be good. Could make it a big club summer event.

Very impressed I can see yourself getting a lot off orders very soon and the biggest one will probably be centre consoles and engine pieces. Good luck with the new business

I'm up for this as only live down the road from Swanage. Would be a cheap weekend with camping on site. Would be interested in doing August if most people are up for it. Could also visit monkey world and the tank museum close by.

Never had any of them to be honest. Are the ones they sell in tescos as nice or stay clear off them.

Quick update on the fuel that I can get for cheaper. I can get approx 500-600 litres and will start to get the fuel tokens this month. The price will be approx 8 euro for 10 litres saving roughly 7 euros for every 10 litres bought. The tokens will be on a first come basis and are only valid in Germany I'm afraid. This will help to reduce the costs for most of the people coming across from the UK. Free to answer questions on here or if anyone wants info send me a PM and will get back to you ASAP.

Get it done got to be done in my eyes. I'm doing a long drive on Saturday from Bournemouth to Dover so will fill up and reset my MPG and let you know will do an average of 60mph on different roads I expect. Then when I enter Europe into Germany will do an average off 140mph so can report on that as well for those that are interested.
