What criteria are used to become a forum moderator or member of the 350z-uk admin team? Just interested, is it an invite only or is there an application somewhere?

You have to live and breath the club - turn up at all the meets - sleep in the Club T shirt - be online 99.9% of your life and bribe the rest of them - easy :p:lol:

Pretty much the same as a corporate without the red tape - who is behaving and providing support that we need on the team to improve the club for the members and enforce the rules that are in place, gets notcied and asked if they'd accept a role. Conversely, if someone had something to offer then people do contact us, hence meets organisers etc. :)

From what I've seen of it (very few in my time) they tend to make themselves obvious as being pationate about the car and club, attend meets with us and generally give off a good vibe about the club. Normally they are also suggested by other members as being good for the role. The team then vote on whether to offer the position or not

Who was wondering Dan?

No harm in putting an intro section up, even if not sure what the info is needed for. :)

Not wanting to hijack the thread, but can I just say that I think that those who have taken on the role as moderator have been doing an excellent job in a sometimes challenging situation for the last four years. I for one would like to express my gratitude to them all for running a first-class forum.

Very kind words thank you Jim  Just a pity we dont sit in a air conditioned building with a £100k anual salary and a 370z chucked in as well  But it can be challenging especially when you get members that say the forum sucks and dont offer an apolgy when they realise that they were wrong when they threw their rattle out of the pram.

But very nice when we have members who appreciate the forum. Thanks again Jim

Agree, havnt been here long but so far I've been very impressed by the way the forum is run. Usually something you only see in private pay-only forum. I can browse this forum while at work safely because its used by sensible folk and run by excellent folk!

General public really Rob, passing comments in shows etc :)

Might just need a FAQ as its not a formal process :)

Would you like to be a little more specific about who the "general public" are?

As Chris'I said, those appointed are not only truly passionate about ZEDs but have also demonstrated they are truly supportive of this forum.

Thank you Jim for your kind words and as a long and loyal supporter of the forum - watch out you might be the next mod ;)

I'd like to ask why, when there are obviously moderators visiting this thread this image is still on here - bad enough it is used as someone's avatar - is this forum female friendly or not? Or am I just :bang:
