Reekie Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Hi Guys, I was driving home from work today, pulled up in the left hand lane at the traffic lights on a nice dual carriage way, looked in the mirror and saw another Zed approaching, I was waiting for him to pull up in the right hand lane for a little fun, but no, he pulled up behind me and then followed me in the left hand lane.... Question... Was he scared his driving wasn't up to mine? Shy? Boring? Old? I have no idea!! And it also got me thinking, do any other Zed drivers give a wave when they see other 350's on the road?? Just curious.... Cheers Quote
Danny 350Z Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Zed drivers are quite stalkerish! Beware, he's probably outside your gaff now! Quote
Reekie Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 Ha ha, I'll have a sneaky look through the curtains!! I'm glad it's not just me then, if you ever see a guy in a gun-metal grey 350 waving madly as you pass then it could well be me!!! Quote
Fien Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 There's a couple of zed drivers that live near me that don't wave. May be they just don't like me!!! Quote
Martin W Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Hi Guys, Just curious.... Cheers We all wave, but I make a point of not racing Zed's. Just other stuff!! Quote
jerry3167 Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 Street racing on public roads is something this forum does not condone, especially against other Z drivers! I think a thumbs up and a smile goes a long way Quote
Reekie Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 Ha ha, I'll take that advice on board then, I guess that's why I'm a newbie and you're all veterans!! I'll make sure I give the Zed's a polite nod before beating everything else! Quote
M13KYF Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 always give a wave, and most of the times get one back. Passed a lady in here new soft top one on Saturday in the centre of altrincham. Gave a wave and got one back. Quote
Ekona Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I'll wave at anything and everything that's decent. Almost all softtops will get a wave if they have the roof down, anything British and sporty (think TVRs, Caterhams and Lotuses), even a Clio 172/182/197/ will get a wave if the driver looks like he's out for a bit of fun and not a complete chav. Got and gave a decent nod from a Z4M coupe the other day on the A120, made my day that did. Quote
Stew Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I'll wave and flash lights at a zed. I wouldn't of raced you either though. Why race (on public roads anyway) something that is the same? Quote
nixy Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 I've even got a daily spot going with a Vauxhall VX220. Quote
rtbiscuit Posted July 27, 2009 Posted July 27, 2009 i saw a blue coupe the other afternoon and thought it was sally, it got right up behind me, i waved and nothing, she sat behind , me all the way with a stone walled expression on her face. it wasn't sally, but this lady was no fun Quote
bronzee Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Reekie you'll find after you've been to a few meets, Zeds like to convoy, they also look very sharp in a convoy. Quote
Reekie Posted July 28, 2009 Author Posted July 28, 2009 Yeah, I'm definately learning a few things with the more posts I read. You're right, they do look good in convoy!! Quote
mbs Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Question... Was he scared his driving wasn't up to mine? Shy? Boring? Old? I have no idea!! Less of the old, only chavs in Corsa's try to race Zeds other Zed owners just wave. Quote
chocohercules Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Yeah i spot a few when im driving around in Brum but no-one ever says hi. There are 2 heavyly modded ones that always drive around together one Black and the other Silver. i want to join the fun too hehehehee. I wonder if they are on this forum? Quote
Danny 350Z Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Reekie you'll find after you've been to a few meets, Zeds like to convoy, they also look very sharp in a convoy. I had a mini convoy today with another azure. Mine was gleeming and his was dirty. I need to throw a tube of Autosol his direction ASAP! Quote
chr15g Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I've even got a daily spot going with a Vauxhall VX220. I heart the VX220 Especially the Turbo!!! Quote
andlid Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 I normally lash her up sideways instead of waving (luckily not that many Z's over here Quote
Rob_Quads Posted July 29, 2009 Posted July 29, 2009 Maybe he was just driving from A-B and couldn't care what else was on the road (in terms of what types of cars). When I'm driving home its only a short journey thus all i am thinking about is getting home not trying to race someone if i get a chance. Yes its good to go and have a nice safe spirited drive but street racing is a no no IMO Quote
