Sarnie Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=18895 The company says its new model will be available at dealers from early next year Really????? And £27k???? Doesn't add up in my book.......and those pics of it still don't do anything for me.......... Quote
S1 HNK Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 not sure about that, i prefer the proportions of the 350 but will wait to view in the flesh and im sure i'll want one!! Quote
Chris`I Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I think it will grow on us. Better interior is always good in my books. Although it still looks a lot like the 350z inside. Think they could have done more Quote
Toon Chris Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Like that window line. Very nice. Interior looks identical to 350Z. I agree with keeping a simple dash but they haven't made a huge effort there... Quote
sl114 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I love it, When you getting one then?! Not for a while unfortunatly, however if i could, i would put my name down on the list as i think it looks great. Maybe a few years Quote
tmJak Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Looks more angular than the current model, can definately see how it's a bit retro of the older Z models. Interior is a bit naff, but they are bringing the Infiniti cars over here soon. Nissan wouldn't wanna compete with itself I suppose. Quote
Ekona Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Nope, don't like it. It does hark back to the older Zeds far more than the 350 currently does, but I just think it looks like a very awkward shape, whereas at least the current car was allowed to stand on it's own merits (and is what attracted me to it). I do like the door cards in the alcantara, but the gauges still look fussy and stuck on. And the less said about the 996 911-esque rear lights the better... Whilst I have no doubt it'll drive well and be quicker than the 350, I certainly can't see myself buying one. Quote
Pingu2 Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 looks OK - except for the front/rear lights... Quote
Trev-the-Rev Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 I shall reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh. First opinions are though that it looks ok Quote
choptop Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Nice car but the lights are not my cup of tea at the moment. Guess I will get used to it. Would I buy one? Not in the near future. Quote
RobD7 Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Undecided... Always grow on you though once they've come out... Quote
Digsy Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Disappointed is the best way I can sum up my reaction. It looks fussy and the heavy handed retro features like the windowline seem to sit uneasily with the modern bit like the lights. Its lost the elegance and purity of the 350Z and that's a shame. It looks like its been designed to appeal to the American muscle car fan to me. The interior looks fine but nothing special. On the other hand these are three pictures and I'll reserve final judgment until I've seen some different colours, angles and preferably seen one in the flesh. Would I pre-order one now? I think not. Quote
neo Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 for me it seems all outta proportion think i'll be sticking with me 350z for a while yet Quote
Maccaman Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Not to sure so will wait to see in the flesh. For me its a bit like the original & new TT, loved the originals shape & can't quite get to like the new shape. Quote
Beavis Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 Not impressed with the way it looks at the moment. But like others have said, we need to see it in the flesh. Quote
Renegade Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 The name does not seem right. It does not have the 350z ring. Quote
stanski Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Maybe it wont be as popular as ours and prices will hold a bit better for 350's and plumett for 370's!! (well I can dream) Anyway lets see what they look like - as much as I not a big fan of the GT-R I'd rather have that if I am honest!! Quote
rmmackfc Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Hmmm... back end looks like a Z4 Coupe Jury is out in my opinion... although I din't like the GTR for a while, but now I love it. Quote
H5 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I think it's one of those that will look awesome in the flesh. I think it's a much more classically styled car - quite like it actually... Quote
polarbear Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 Better interior is always good in my books. Although it still looks a lot like the 350z inside. Think they could have done more +1 but difficult to tell from these airbrushed pics. Will they have engineered out all of the rattles and squeaks though?? Don't really see the point in another new block for only +17 BHP unless the torque is even stronger. Yet more bad news for 350Z residuals, eh Quote
3FIDDYZ Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Wow..... Just wow.... Car in the flesh is just amazing... Quote
Digsy Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Wow..... Just wow.... Car in the flesh is just amazing... To me that pic just shows how timeless the 350 is and how unresolved the the 370 is. Quote
