  1. car is now sold yep! but of a sad day but wasn't really using it much - 1000 miles in last 15 months! thanks to all on forum for help and good times
  2. Hi everyone - still got this car! I stopped trying to sell it back in August when the 928 needed more work doing so that I would have some transport still - and then life and winter got in the way of putting it back on the market... the car is the same as before - except for having a new battery fitted in January and a P2 service and MOT at Nissan dealer 2 weeks ago... price reduced further and it will be going on autotrader again!
  3. yet again the guy failed to turn up on sunday (at least this one texted me to say he wasn't coming - more than most manage!) I don't really want any px unless it's for a runabout, I already have a replacement for the Z sat outside!
  4. not had much interest no - people email me to say they are interested and then when I reply they never get back to me! Some guy coming to look tomorrow apparently (we will see if he turns up!) anyway, the Porsche is still having some work done and without the z I wouldn't have a car - so I haven't been in a big rush! I'm thinking that if nobody wants it, I'll just keep it - 'cos I still think it's a great car
  5. price reduced again.... this is getting absurd
  6. now on ebay classified (with some more pictures): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200493639215
  7. It actually already had those on when it was tuned - TDI just made a mistake on their blog
  8. used to have a 172 which I bought from new (only car ive ever bought new!) - broke down a few times (alternator, exhaust fell off (on the way back from cornwall - had to drive for hours along the motorway with no back box/mid section - luckilly we had earplugs!) , electrics) but was a good fun little car, handled well, steering/gears decent, not terribly economical for a small hatchback (or maybe that was my driving at fault). Car was good on the twistys but also surprisingly decent on 400 mile motorway trips - didnt feel very special though and needed ragging. Would be a lot of fun for 2k!
  9. Thanks Parris and Andy - it is a great car to drive and I will miss it when it finally goes
  10. mine is red with leather and Im sure would fit your bill - pm sent
  11. pm sent 11500 is the reduced price btw - was 12000 at first and even then people said it was cheap
  12. glad some think fondly of the 928 still the dogleg gearbox takes some getting used to and its pretty impossible to heal+toe it, but it makes up for that with a lovely 5.0 V8 noise and plenty of torque - once it gets going it's faster than the 350z (especially once you're up to silly speeds!) and the handling is pretty good for a 1988 car with its trick Weisenbach rear axle and coilovers!
  13. it is a P6 yep - not in very good nick but apparently it runs...
  14. hmm you don't cat C a car for that!
  15. doesn't bother me, was happy with gains in torque/hp curve after tuning is all that matters
  16. bit of a shampoo and the seats are fine now I don't really need a car on a day to day basis, so although this will be my only car, it's like a 2nd car to me
  17. I got 249.3 hp on TDI's RotoTest which is a hub mounted dyno - hard to compare this with other types of dyno though! this was with nismo exhaust, kinetix high flow cats, kinetix plenum and a haltech platinum ecu http://tdi-plc.com/blog/wp-content/uplo ... altech.png
  18. yes those seats were only available for the SE - which is basically the UK version of the euro clubsport 928 (which they only made 19 of)
  19. ah but he bought a badly maintained 928 S (or S2?) for 1500 quid.... spacers and lowering this car is staying original(ish....) - it's too rare to mess it about!
  20. not to slam down on u but why? haha - told you it was a strange move! mmmm I'm not sure why really I got bored of the Z and was looking at TVR's when I suddenly remembered how cool 928's are and then saw this rather rare one up for sale at a good price! And yes the maintenance costs are probably 4 times that of the 350z and the petrol gauge goes down even faster... it doesn't make any sense why I bought it really!
  21. yep yep - a rare 928 SE (land shark indeed!)... only 42 made and it's not in bad nick for a 1988 car i've gone retro!
  22. as you may have seen, my 350z is up for sale and the replacement has been sat here for a few weeks now (well actually it's in the garage having the aircon fixed at huge expense!) .. bit of a strange move this one... can you tell what it is?
  23. Xquisite do have a good rep - and the car is more reasonably valued than it was for some previous sales!
