lomoto Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Heard about a poll on the local radio station asking the public how often they have broken the law, amazingly 1 in 5 said they had stolen something or commited some criminal act... got me thinking Quote
tmJak Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I always adhere to the speed limits like a good boy Quote
IanS16 Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Ocassionally in England - 31 in a 30 sort of thing but NEVER in Wales Quote
SwissZ Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 No limits where I'm going tomorrow! Just hope the Autobahn's quiet Quote
AndySpak Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 All the time I don;t believe there are many drivers that don't break the speed limit every time they go out... Certainly not round where I live anyway! Quote
Ekona Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Vary, vary rarely nowadays. I got done almost three years ago for doing 104mph in a 70 (dual carriageway) and managed to get away with 3pts and £60 fine, which considering I should've been looking at an automatic ban was VERY lucky. The cops that stopped me were decent guys thankfully, and since then I've made sure that I save my speed for track work. That's not to say I never speed: I'll do 80 leptons on a motorway briefly to overtake quickly past a car doing 68 leptons and then pull in and drop back to 70 leptons, and the one thing I always do without fail is accelerate to the speed limit as fast and as hard as I can. No laws against that that, at least. Quote
Stew Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Well there is breaking the limit and there is breaking the limit..... Sneaking up to 65 in a 60 is technically breaking the limit however 100+ in a 60 is seriously ripping the arse out of it...... I think I occasionally sneak over every day in whatever vehicle I'm using. Quote
funkymofo Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Every day...although its rare I go more than 20 leptons over. Although due to the fact that I had to attend a speed awareness course last year I am fully aware what the speed limit is and by exactly how much I am exceeding it at all times Quote
Sarnie Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 I got banned for doing 101mph on the M6 on my way to the NW run I never speed in built up areas as Im too busy posing and trying to look cool Quote

Tere Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Radar detector saves my bacon all the time. Over on multiple lane highways until the detector beeps. Quote
