  6. Hi As title these have done 1000 miles and were supplied by Cougar Store in November 2010, they are amazing brakes totally transformed the car, stops on a penny with no brake fade, great pedal feel when used with braided hoses, look amazing with the two piece disc and rotors. These were bedded in properly and don;t have any wobble at all. Only reason I'm selling them, is the Z has had no interest with the extras and the mods that were on it so putting it back to standard and selling it cheaper in the hope if some interest. Thought I offer them on here before they go on ebay. £450 delivered. (uk) Pm or call me on 07989 404 903. Cheers Ando.
  7. This is a good thread, some amazing stories on it!! Mine was buying a 1983 Sierra XR4i and thinking it would be a nice car to mess about with and make faster, after buying it for £950 in 2005 and thn speanding the next 2 years emptying my pockets on it, even buying a Sierra Cosworth breaking that and fitting it all in the 4i, even the ABS system. Then going to a trackday at cadwell park and the cam belt coming off on the way there, I then broke the car and sold it as spares, trading my 636 Kawasaki motorbike and buying a M3 Evo that was a minter, taking on a trackday at Anglesey and having one of the biggest crashes since they reopened the track in 2007, I had to walk away from nearly 10K as everyman and has dog took pics as it closed the track and posted then on the net every where! No serious injuries, i popped my shoulder out, an old moto cross and my mate got a bit of whiplash. In a way I don't regret doing what I've done, apart from crashing the M3, I have learn't a heck of a lot about cars and am can do most things with them and had some fun along the way. See pics below
  8. Cheers Beavis, Forgot to add it has the bluetooth adapater thingy.
  9. Hi All Well after nearly 3 years of owning a 350Z, she has got to go. Registered in the Wife's Name, so a Lady owner, with 2 previous. We got the car with around 21k from Sunwin Nissan in Derby, it's a 2005, 55reg. The car has always been serviced with them, the last on being at 39k it has now done 45k. the reason we always took it to them was because of the lifetime warranty they offered with a service, so since we have owned it, it has always had warranty, to be fair the only thing that has been changed on it is a front wheel bearing. The bulk of the mileage has been the commute to work for the wife, 95% dual carriageways, with me having a bit of fun at weekends. Its taxed til May and MOT'd til May. It has the GT pack, obviously with Rays, Brembos, Leather, Bose stereo. Bluetooth Adapter The car is standard apart from an upgrade to the brakes, flywheel and clutch. these were fitted in December and the car has done about 1500 miles since. DBA5000 series brake discs on the front. Ferodo DS2500 pads all round HEL Brake lines Motul Brake fluid I had a new Competition Clutch Stage 2 fitted and a Lightweight Flywheel, whilst the box was out a new clutch slave cylinder was fitted as well as a HEL braided hose and the gearbox oil changed, the slave and oil supplied by Nissan Leicester. The parts were supplied by CS a member on the forum. The change in the car after these mods have been done is amazing it stops on a penny the pedal feel is fantastic, the engine revs a lot free-er and sounds great. I also have all the old brakes, lines, flywheel and Clutch, as this was still working fine but would slip occasionally on spirited drives, it was fine for normal use though. I have a second set of rays alloys with REO40's on. The set on the Car have REO50's on. I also have a spare rear tire REO40. I have done the upgrades as I was planning on keeping the car 2 more years and using it on track, the reason for selling the car is because I have to chance to get something else, so the Z has to go. Its a great car, really well balanced and fun to drive, it has been well looked after. I've pretty much told it how it is, they are a bomb proof car if looked after well and this one in my opinion has been. I hate smoke being blown up your arse then turning up to see a right old nail. so I don't want to waste your time or mine. Any inspection welcome, no tire kickers though and not interested in a Part Ex for the mother in law in africa. Price for the car with all spare parts and extra set of rays £9995 No Offers Call Mark on 07989 404 903 8am -10pm Cheers.
  10. One mod I've done to my Z is fit a lightweight Flywheel, don;t know about power and didn;t do it for any gains but the thing is loads lighter than stock, the dual mass thing is like picking up a bag of cement and the engine revs really nicely now, seems to pull harder and picks up quicker when going through the box. With the other mods you have, could be a worth while addition. Ando
  11. Proper Sleeper! Be good fun next to a lot of expensive Italian cars at the lights! lol
  12. Cheers Stew, will do.
  13. Hi All Time for the 350Z to go, but I'm not sure which way to sell it and wondered what you guys thought. Normally I just chop in my cars for something else with a dealer and don't bother with selling cars on privately. I'm replacing the Z with a car brought privately so no option of a part ex. Dilema I have is, in December I put a lightweight Flywheel and CC st2 clutch in and DBA Discs, hel lines, ferodo pads and decent brake fluid in, ( Cheers CS) the old stuff was ok but on a track day last year the clutch would sometimes slip, I still have all the old stuff as it wasn't knackered. I also have a spare set of wheels. So what do you think it will be worth with it all left on, sell as a whole with the spare wheels? Or would you take it off and ebay it all? The other thing is price, they seem to have feel out of bed a bit, so wondering what to realistically price it at to sell, really need it to be gone by the end of march ready for the new motor coming home. Cheers Ando.
  14. I've used Melton Accident Repair Center, in melton funnily enough! lol They were very good and do bespoke stuff for show cars etc.
  15. http://www.guesthouse-fuchsroehre.com/ Check this place out for accommodation, opening in april, I know the girl who is managing it, it'll be great when it all done, about 10 mins from the gp entrance, so not far to walk up for beers in the new complex bit. I'll be out a few times in April so I'll keep my eye out for a few Zeds. Cheers Ando.
  16. Hi I too can recommend the service provided by CS, I needed a set of DS2500 for my Z and dropped them off as well, Top bloke, Top Service. Spot On. Cheers Ando
  17. Hi Neil, I'm in Thurmaston, I'll keep an eye out for you. Mines Blade Silver. Cheers Ando.
  18. Good write up and pics. Did you get that great feeling of accomplishment when you came under the gantry at the end!! Ando.
  19. Hi Guys What a great day this was, track was fun, even though after having an argument with the marshals about suction mounts for the bullet cameras then wedging it under the head rest, and promptly turning it off as we left the pits to go out on track!!! Doh, got a great 3 mins of film in the pit lane!! It was fun on track, I got passed quite a few cars I though I shouldn't have and then there were the numpty's that were diving passed in to the bends and spinning in front of me!! this happened 5 times!! with 2 spectacularly saving it from spinning, one was a white DC2 and the other a GTi-R. Good to meet some of the peeps off the board had a good turn out of cars, but I was surprised at how small the show was especially with the drifting and time attack on. Coming over from a ford background, FordFair is huge and there are lots of traders selling everything and tons more car clubs, but still and enjoyable day. Looking forward to the next one and it would be good if we get some flags to put up on the stand and flyers under the wipers so people know who we are. One last thing Thanks to Rob for sorting this out Cheers Ando.
  20. I think this will be the fastest Nissan around the Nurburgring for a while. Alot of people didn't think it was true but heres the video to prove it, amazing car, looking for ward to next year when my mate gets his and we go out to the ring, don't think I'll be doing it this quick though!!! Gear change is amazingly fast (I reckon my motor bike wasn't this quick when I change gear with out the clutch!!) and the car is suppose to be totally stock, even the tires, they do seem to make more noise, a bit like there going off, noticed it in the twisty section after the Karussel they started to squeal more and the driver looked like he was working to keep it on track. some of the tight lines he took through some bends is mad. Enjoy Ando
  21. If you go on the Tunnel it'll take you around 10 hours door to door, I'm 507 miles from the ring and takes me 8 hours, driving around 80-100. If you go friday book into a hotel just over the other side, we stayed at one in Lille when we've done that before, can't remember what it was called though, then crack on in the morning and youll be there in about 3.5- 4 hours. Don't bother trying to beat 10 mins a lap it took me 16 before I could do that and I'd played ps2 and watched loads on you tube. start of steady and build up slowly, most of the bends are 3rd or 4th so keep that in mind and you shouldn;t get in to much trouble, there is one 2nd gear bend but you have to slow for the bend before so you should see it coming. If it rains, reconsider going out at all, its a totally diffferent line in the wet and really slippy on the normal line, I've seen loads of uk cars banged up in the armco from getting in wrong in the wet. Heres a lap from a Z3 that I took over last year at easter. I've taken the 350 this year but haven't had a chance to get the video sorted yet. The 350 was really nice around the ring, handled very well, make sure you cool it down in between laps, I did 2 in a row and the second was a bit hairy from the tires and brakes going off. Hth Ando
  22. Yep, Been polishing mine since Thursday, gave it 4 stages with the DA, paint was in a right state first time I've had a chance to do it since I've had it. See you all in the morning. Ando
