So I'm looking to get 1 or 2 size larger tyres on the V1 Nismo wheels.

Front options:

Rear options:

It is advised that the diameter variance should be under 3%.

Tyres available for each size I'm considering:

FRONT:

Diameter variance +1.18% Speed variance 1.17% too slow

Michelin SuperSport Pilot Michelin Super Sport - 255/40 R19 (100Y) XL TL

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 PS4 - 255/40 R19 100W XL (VOL) TL

Michelin Pilot Sport 4 PS4 - 255/40 R19 (100Y) XL TL

Diameter variance -1.55% Speed variance 1.57% too fast

Michelin SuperSport Pilot Michelin Super Sport - 265/35 R19 (98Y) XL (TPC) TL

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S PS4S - 265/35 R19 (98Y) XL TL

Michelin SuperSport Pilot Michelin Super Sport - 265/35 R19 (98Y) XL TL

REAR:

Diameter variance +1.03% Speed variance 1.02% too slow

Michelin SuperSport Pilot Michelin Super Sport - 295/35 R19 (100Y) TL

Diameter variance +2.05% Speed variance 2.01% too slow

Michelin SuperSport Pilot Michelin Super Sport - 305/35 R19 (102Y) TL

Diameter variance -2.42% Speed variance 2.48% too fast

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S PS4S - 305/30 R19 (102Y) XL TL

Michelin SuperSport Pilot Michelin Super Sport - 305/30 R19 (102Y) XL TL

Any other serious pros / cons if I go with the MPS4S options in bold green? Other suggestions more than welcome.

Thanks!

Soz, only just got back in from holiday!

Looking at the hard numbers there, you'd be mad to not go for the MPS4S. Well within tolerance, better than the other two options, that's what I'd go for in your shoes.

I was wondering why it took you soooooo long to reply to a tyre topic!

Thanks for your answer, let's see what others are saying before I decide.

(Sshhhh, I decided already, don't tell anyone, it's the MPS4S!)

As advised by dan.

What is that website you used to determine sizes out of interest ?

I'm looking at a new full set for my MK1 Nismo and as the correct 'OEM NISMO' sizing is a problem with the 4S (trying to find them in both 245 & 285 from a single retailer is proving tricky, 245 in particular) this is an option for me.

I saw a couple of the MK2's at the Torqen meet today running the below setup.

Going on assumption, would the below setup be suitable for mine?

If not, any preferences on other sizing?

Thanks in advance :)

FRONT Michelin Pilot Sport 4S PS4S - 265/35 R19 (98Y) XL TL

REAR Michelin Pilot Sport 4S PS4S - 305/30 R19 (102Y) XL TL

The ratio would suggest not, however I’d balk at 265 on the fronts, especially 305 on the rear, I don’t see an advantage over stock sizes.  I’m sure I’ve seen 285 35 on PS4s?

Yeah the 285's are fairly common. It's the 245's that are the problem.

Near impossible to find a place that stocks both sizes, hence why looking for alternatives.

That's what I went with for 2 of my 370z and was very happy with the grip level and drivability.

I've put the 265/35/19 305/30/19 on mine and the 265/35/19 and 285/35/19 on my wife's and we both love the level of feel and grip.

I ordered through tyreleader and they took nearly 2 weeks to turn up from France but worth the wait.

Also have just upgraded to MPS4S Fronts - 265/35/19 Rears - 305/30/19. Looks and feels so much better, the wheels don't look lost in the body like stock sizes do. Very Pleased!

I went for exactly the same
