Blocko
Is anyone else's oil car an absolute pig? Ever time I need to top up or change the oil I have to get tools out of the garage so i can whack it. Completely impossible to undo by hand. No obvious signs of cross threading and it's done it the last several times. Very frustrating. Hoping simply buying a new cap will do the trick
Strudul
You're just soft.
Richf
Any Nissan one will fit they are pretty standard so some of the Ebay ones branded as hks etc are easier to undo and only cost about £6 for a blingy alloy one
Blocko
Handy knowing all nissan ones fit makes it easy to grab one from the scrappy. Not soft it's hard to undo with a piece of bar and a hammer 😞 Edited March 18, 2017 by Blocko
Strudul
They are always a bit stiff, just don't do it up so tight, or ask a man to help you.

It's my 24th car and I've never needed a hammer to put oil in anything before!

RobPhoboS
Jeez, careful using a flipping hammer on the poor thing. Just use a pair of mole grip pliers with a bit of rag on the cap so you don't tear it apart.
Olly350z
Mines exactly like this, pretty sure even chuck norris would struggle to get the thing undone. Nice to know im not the only one who looks weak taking the cap off haha

Nice to know im not the only one who looks weak taking the cap off haha Yep found mine was seized on a few occasions. In the end I just very gently nipped it up and it seemed to be fine from then on every time I went to take it off. Eventually I changed it for an aftermarket one (Buddy Club I think) which was a gift and never had any issues getting that undone.

Stutopia
Can't you just wait until your husband gets home? To be fair, my OEM one was a pig to shift.
